In 2023 when I was struggling with a spiritual issue and could not find a Catholic spiritual advisor because it was the 4th of July, it occurred to me to stop at Oliver's fireworks stand. He helped me a bit by explaining how there was freedom in Jesus Christ. I'd never heard this so asked him to explain it to me. Well afterwards, he did a quick prayer with me and then said to hold on because he was going to get me the phone number of the lady at his church who could help me more with my dilemma. I thanked him and tried to call her a few days later.

It was a wrong number. It was a dead number.

He was absolutely frightened of me and my situation and lied about being able to help.

He could have sent me down the street to Bayside Church because they have a deliverance ministry program there. I would have received help right away instead of playing cat and mouse with the Catholic Church trying to find someone who could help me out. Bayside would have been the faster option and they would have probably explained the process to me. Instead, It took several weeks to get help from the Catholic Archdiocese and I was worse off in the meantime. I became even more depressed and spiritually oppressed than ever. Their plan didn't go accordingly because I was missing several steps.

Oliver had the chance to prove to me that he wasn't the bad guy everyone kept saying he was and he majorly bombed.

Fortunately, thanks to his fear demon, I eventually found all the right people and learned about deliverance ministry myself. Now I help others actually receive the freedom they are looking for in their lives as well. I teach them how to keep their freedom. I don't do it for them. The rest is up to them.

Mr. Matthew Oliver, I hope you change your ways. Just because you run a church, doesn't mean you are as helpful or caring of a pastor as you could be. I suggest you read the book of Jonah again but this time follow his footsteps. The prophet gave us his story so we could reach real freedom In Jesus Christ. You may even be pulled towards becoming Catholic yourself if you're willing to follow the Bible and not just use it as a prop.

Discrimination against those who are different than you, and spreading malicious and false rumors is extremely un-God like, Pastor Matthew. You should be ashamed of yourself for the very obvious publicity stunt, using God’s name and hiding behind your children to promote the hatred/bigotry of LGBTQ+ people - especially drag queens. You knowingly and intentionally inflict emotional pain on these people and artist in the name of “protecting the children”, when in reality if you went to a typical family friendly drag show (not a bar show), then you’d know there’s nothing to be concerned about. Even then, you don’t have to bring your kids to those events - no one is making you. Stop telling other people how to live their lives or how to raise their kids - and stop pretending to be Christians when it’s obvious bigotry permeates at this establishment. I’d pick a more accepting and loving place that actually does Gods work; not use His name to push discriminatory, false, and politically driven narratives. He wants you to embrace and love others, not find ways to alienate them.

I found out some terrible news early 2019, someone very dear to be became ill quickly without warning. I ended up going to this church a few Sunday’s because I was having a hard time coping. I was trying to find comfort and leave during one of the most trying times of my life. At the end of my first service, I didn’t find peace or comfort.. and I thought maybe it was my grief and self centered attitude. Second service? Left feeling very alone and hopeless. By the end of my third service it finally dawned on me.. 80% of the people whom surrounded me were very closely intertwined. Very “clicky” and I felt out of place.. I have never visited a church that left me feeling alone and out of place.

I absolutely refused to attend another church in the area due my experience here.. I questioned my faith for months.

These people seem very nice and united. But it’s almost as though there was some kind of long standing inside joke amongst those United.. and the outsiders were the butt of it.

Don’t make the same mistake I have, seek faith elsewhere.

I've had a similar experience to Ashley when I visited The Family church - I got the feeling that this "closed off family" doesn't want to grow. This a nice Christian club where their self absorbed members enjoy the privileges but don't truly care about others. The message sounded good but no one practiced Jesus' love. Actions speak louder than words: I akwardly waited after church services for some time, yet not one person walked up to me, or cared enough to say hello and welcome me. Few services are enough to understand what this "family" is all about - I visited megachurches where leaders found time to be friendly so I expected smaller church to be more welcoming and caring.

Someone named Mathew Oliver always says something inappropriate and unacceptable to me and my family. I have to stand up and say this shouldn't be allowed in my community.
I don't know when some churches turned into hate groups but this is one of them.

This is seriously the best Church in the area awesome worship music, great preaching, great places for kids of different age groups, and safety protocols to keep your kids safe when you are at church and your kids are having fun with the other children. Plus this church has free doughnuts as you come in, they also have a coffee shop and a book store to enhance your knowledge. On top of this great experience during church they will give you a free gift that includes a church coffee mug, card to get a free drink at the coffee shop and more. The church is pointed at youth which there are not many churches like this. I would highly recommend this Church.
