Donated platelets 9/18/2024. Patrick was so friendly from the start. When it was time to do the needle I did not feel anything which is pretty rare because I almost always feel a pinch. Very pleased with my donation and the assist from Patrick.
All employees were kind.

I stopped donating years ago because of the constant, harassing phone calls. I probably have Vitalant blocked on 50 different phone numbers, and they’re still blowing up my phone at least 2-3 times per week. Heck, I’ve gotten calls as early as 3:30 IN THE MORNING on more than one occasion.

Not to mention their BROWSER COOKIES lead to me being sent advertisements SPECIFICALLY for people with tattoos and piercings. This entire corporation is just invasive, aggressive and pushy.

I am a regular donor with Vitalant. I donate whole blood every 8-9 weeks. I have been doing this for years as a way to give back to my community.

Today, I was very disappointed. Patrick helped me and took my vitals. I have white coat syndrome and told him that. My blood pressure and pulse were a little elevated. Hemoglobin was 15.2.

I was deferred because my pulse was 107. He said he would recheck my pulse again in 5 minutes. Left me in the small room with the lights off. I could feel the anxiety and disappointment set in because I would have to get checked again.

He came back in 2 minutes, not 5, and proceeded to manually check my pulse on my wrist, counted OUT LOUD for 15 seconds (each beat) and multiplied that by 4. My pulse was 104 and he said I can't take your blood. He said my pulse must be 100 or under or I COULD have a reaction.

As I am writing this review, my pulse is 97. So I am an eligible donor that was turned away.

I waisted over an hour of my time today (filling out the online questionnaire, hydrating, driving over to Vitalant, etc). Just to be told I can't donate.

I did choose the last whole blood appointment for today so maybe they didn't want to spend the time to take and process my blood?

Vitalant is always calling and emailing to say they are in "desperate need" for blood donations. Then they do this to their regular donors!? It just doesn't make sense.

First time ever donating at all. I was donating convalescent plasma and that requires a little more screening than a regular blood donation. The entire staff was so helpful, welcoming and grateful. It was a great experience for me.

Location is good. If you're going to donate blood don't use Vitalant, they harass you with robocalls after you donate. Whoever runs Vitalant should be ashamed of themselves

This blood donation clinic may be my favorite I have ever been to. The staff were very professional and friendly, their questionaire was short and to the point (It took me about 10 minutes as soon as I walked in the door to get a needle in my arm!) and I just loved the little refreshment area they have setup for you once you are done donating blood.
