Great process here to involve the family or a large group in a service project feeding those in need. We were here for a couple hours in a large event on a weekend with multiple organizations. 25 or more tables producing food packets to send overseas. Go offer some of your time for a country in need!

A wonderful place to volunteer to make high protein food for children in need. Bring your family, friends, church group, sports team, work team, etc and spent 2 1/2 hours team building while saving the lives of children. Bill and Jerry will set you up for success and you’ll make this a yearly experience just like my church, Montgomery Community church has done for the last 10 years.
This is one of those volunteer events where everyone walks away feeling great about what they achieved.

Great volunteer activity- packing meals for families overseas. Sign in, hairnet, listen to mission statement, and then you are ready to go. You get assigned to a table, with five positions: scooper, bagger, scale, seal, or sort. There is also a non-table specific box mover that is good for folks who can carry 30-50 lbs. Lasts 2 hours or so. Faith-based organization but they don't overdo it - a few biblical quotes in the mission video, an offer to talk more if you want, short prayer at the end, so don't be afraid to participate if you are of a different/no faith. Younger kids can participate - just can't do the seal role because of the hot sealer. Highly organized and highly recommend.

This is a great place to volunteer at! The organization really seems to care about the people that they are helping in other countries, and they are very open about what exactly they are doing and where donation money goes. It's also just genuinely fun to come out with a group of people and work together packing food.

Stop by their facility on E. Kemper Rd & buy some products, t shirts that buy girls school uniforms or wonderful soap & fantastic lip balm.
