This is a gorgeous and welcoming place to worship if your looking for a local service in Washington, NC.

It’s located in the historic walking district near the waterfront and is convenient to walk to if you come in by boat or are downtown.

Meeting Reverend Chris was a joy! I was out for a walk earlier in the week and got to tour the church. This preview made me want to return for their 10 am Sunday service which was amazing.

I was anticipating hearing the hymns played on the great antique pipe organ. This experience truly made my day great as the melody filled the church to the rafters. A must hear!

The church offers services at 8, and 10 am and also has a service in Spanish later in the day. The staff is welcoming and friendly. We recommend St. Peter’s of your seeking a religious service.

If you stop in, take a walk around the grounds. They’re peaceful, and jaw droppingly gorgeous. The stained glass, the gardens, the
quietude to be found on the cemetery grounds. So many stories to be told by gazing upon the historic stones. You’ll find founders of Washington laid to rest here.

This church is AMAZING! (I'm Catholic BTW) The church's oldest
grave dates back to 1765. It is extraordinarily well maintained and has such a deep history. The founder of the Town of Washington (Blount, grave pictured) served under General George Washington during the revolutionary war. He was once the largest land owner in the United States. It was a major port during the British blockade. The families intered here must have led such incredible lives. I did tear up at the grave of a son

@0 who died when he was 23. My oldest son Donovan Commited suicide in August 2021 on his 23rd birthday so it really hit me. (sorry for the personal note but I think that everyone can identify with someone here).

The physical church is beautiful. It has by far, the best stained glass that I have seen in Washington. I have only been to 4 churches so far. The pews were built in the 1870s and are still in use today. A parishioner came up to us and gave me me a 15 minute tour. Grab a brochure at the corner by the sign if you aren't as lucky as I was. Definitely worth the time. It is a 10 minute walk from the waterfront. Highly recommended!

This Holy place nourishes the soul and quenches the thirst of one who is searching for the true living Christ. While brick and mortar are not the actual Church, the atmosphere here surely speaks of the Spirit of God. I thoroughly enjoyed services this Sunday feeling as though I have found my Church home.
