My experiences fell short of these expectations, hoping to grow deeper in my faith, and establish platonic connections. The sermons felt more like TED talks and I found the bible studies hard to follow. Despite my efforts to connect, I often felt overlooked, and undervalued. It as though the sense of community was reserved for those, who had already established relationships.

Although I received prayer, I never felt genuinely heard. On one occasion, a leader invited me to join her small group, which excited me; however, she later informed that her group was full. My interactions with her always felt competitive. She then tossed me to another group. I made sincere efforts to connect with some of the women, but they made little to no effort in return.

I felt dismissed by several of the men and excluded from post-service gatherings. On one occasion, I had asked the pastor about a “Holy Yoga” session, led by one of the women, and he said it was acceptable if it didn’t convict me personally. His response lacked biblical grounding, and did not align with scriptural principles, given yoga’s origins in Hinduism.

Since leaving, no one has reached out to check on me, reinforcing the impression that I was not truly appreciated. I had hoped for a more welcoming, and spiritually enriching experience, and left feeling disappointed. Based on my experience, I do not endorse this congregation.

Everwell is a community of amazing friends and family who are fed by the word, and a place where the gospel is preached every week.

I am so thankful to have found Everwell. My husband and I started going about a year ago, and we have since gained an amazing family, friends, and a greater relationship with God.

The church has about 40-60 people, who are a mixture of people: young singles, new families, and those who have been Christians for many decades. There is a Wednesday night community group in CDM that we love going to, in addition to a monthly women’s and men’s coffee.
