I'm 76 now. As kids we would gather up the neighbors often and play ball at the field below Camp Herms. I grew up on Don Carol Drive. Great times!

My dad helped build the pool as a scout in the 1930's. He still lives nearby on Arlington Blvd (he's 103 currently). When I was a Scout (Troop 98) in the 1960's our troupe used Camp Herms often. It was heavily wooded then but they had to cut most trees down to comply with new fire regulations. It is still a wonderful camp! -Brian C.

I'm 60 yrs old on the 15th of April,
at age 7 dad showed me camp Herms.I learned to swim in the
Old pool and later in troop 477as a
Boy scout I learned to save lives
in that pool,that was 1968-or 9.
This is the best place in Ca.for boys
To learn about the most important thing...Honor!
