Property taxes are high at this city over 2% they don’t even fix the roads there are pot holes everywhere. There is a road call Menifee Rd that we should be proud of since it has the name of the city and it’s full of pot holes. The street I live in has a major crack in the middle of the road. I placed several emails and calls to city hall and they never done anything they ignored all my request. This is truly a mismanagement of the tax payers money. Where is the Mayor of the city? Look at the picture of Menifee Rd instead of fixing the road they fill the cracks with asphalt that las a few months.

As a resident, I feel there is a lot to be desired with the city’s code enforcement division (starting with the basics). They seem to have trouble understanding the legal definition of the city’s own municipal code.

The staff (aside from code enforcement and administration) is wonderful though, and they are very pleasant to talk to. It’s just a shame that code enforcement won’t ever call you back or answer emails. I hope other city departments aren’t this bad.

The understaffed police department is excellent, but they need more officers. I don’t think the city wants to pay for it though.

UPDATE Feb. 2020: Our previous experience was quite unpleasant, after we couldn't get help from the city to deal with a nuisance caused by a neighbor. But after recently working with the city on an unrelated matter, I would have to say that there have been vast improvements overall. Upgrading from one star to three stars due to the positive experiences that we have had. And hoping that we can have the city's support moving forward from this point.

The city of Menifee staff, have become apathetic or unconcerned with street safety issues. I’ve honestly lost count on how many times I’ve called about pot holes & debris on Murrieta & Bradley Roads!!!
PS. Bicycle lanes have debris & Other hazards causing flats, & other damages.

This once small town used to be beautiful, CLEAN. and proactive. Not sure if it’s the Mayor or city faculty, but they continue to ignore the homeless issue that is starting here. They keep giving me the political answer “we will look into it” but nothing gets done. So we will become Hemet!!!

This city was AMAZING, until recently.

Recently tons of crackheads coming in in droves.

The police don't do enough. The city doesn't do enough.

Because of it, more are coming in droves.

An explosion in the last 6 months. Camping in fields. Panhandling. Stealing from local businesses. Causing theft at homes.

This is a new problem. But a Serious problem.

My home is going to go down in value along with the perception of this town.

The city can do something about it. Starting at the City Officials. Then, have the police force respond to all calls.

Take back this town to what it was. Or, watch it continue to be flooded with more crackheads.

This clear warning I was saying would come. Now it is here. And the problem is growing 10x faster than the city is doing anything about.

Fix it - before the town gets further development and it gets totally completely out of hand. As it has already reached out of hand.

The Planning Dept and Building and Safety Dept are lacking in efficiency and ability to support small tenant improvement business buildouts. They only know and or are accommodating with regulations and process for new build businesses and or franchises. Asked why it takes a week to get a certificate of occupancy post inspection approval. The Employees continue to blame Covid for every question about their depts performance. In the mean time, as a small business owner we can’t move forward with getting our business license to operate. We wait. Thx Craig and the crew👍 …and I’m being facetious.

Don't move here. Best advise I can give anyone. If you do make the mistake and have anything to do with the city, make sure you don't talk over the phone and get everything in writting. Workers will tell you wrong information and then fine you for it. Collin Mcnie is code supervisor and gives false information! Best way to deal with city is with an attorney to make sure they don't harass and abuse you! Good luck.

I work out at the menifee gym,Power House.came out my windshield was broken,called the police to make a police report,may I say after 8:00pm , Perris police watches crime in menifee.so I drove to Perris police station and called dispatch 1 hour later a sheriff calls to get my report cuts me off and an hour later a different sheriff calls me.lets just say my situation wasn't serious enough to have the cameras looked at .i was literally parked in front of the cameras .lets just say my situation wasn't important to get looked into.I was also asked if maybe I had a rock hit my windshield without me noticing ,I wouldn't be calling to make a police report if that was the case . My windshield didn't look like it was hit from a rock.Ive been hit with rocks on the freeway ,from big trucks .Sadly to say I wasn't impressed.
