My son had alcohol and weed addiction problem in college . At beginning he was very unwilling to go to rehab places. Quinn’s talked to my son and changed his mind. After two months of program like IPP, PIP, my son was totally changed and willingly quitted alcohol and weed, and will continue to go through IOP and sober living. It’s hard to hear that your son has a substance use disorder (SUD). As a parent, you scour all resources for how to best support your child in his recovery journey. What you find is oftentimes terrifying. That, however, was not the case with Golden Gate Recovery (GGR). It came highly recommended from my son’s counselor at rehab as his next step. Even with the recommendation, I was on high alert, particularly with sending him more than 2,000 miles away from home. GGR proved to be an excellent choice. GGR kept me thoroughly updated on my son’s progress (and setbacks) and calmed my nerves time and time again. GGR continues to be readily available to both my son and to me even though he has completed the program.

My son has shared with me many stories that built my confidence in GGR. It is clear to me that GGR cares about the long-term success of its clients. The people working with the clients are strict yet compassionate. They understand the importance of someone with SUD making independent decisions, including the decision to stay sober. They help clients come to make good choices and continue to support them when they make choices that don’t work out as intended.

I’m confident GGR helped my son understand his SUD and how to best manage it. I’m happy to report that GGR’s stair-step program provided my son with the tools and the confidence to understand what he has to do to stay sober independently. Thanks to his hard work and GGR’s support, he just received his one-year chip last month. We both know to take it one day at a time.

Quinn and his team at GGR are incredibly compassionate and resourceful caregivers. They are extremely well-connected to the recovery community in Marin and, with deep experience in various modalities, they take the time to understand their clients and are flexible to the needs of the individuals in their care. If you are serious about getting sober, are willing to do the work and are sick and tired or being sick and tired, then I cannot speak more highly of GGR (Golden Gate Recovery). I have been to numerous rehabs and alcohol treatment programs and one thing remained constant with all of them. I kept relapsing. And honestly, I was skeptical of GGR in the beginning for this very reason. One thing was different though. I was at a surrendering point and was willing to take a suggestion from somebody other than myself. I put my guard down and agreed to go to GGR. I was desperate but still skeptical that this could or would work. The way the program is set up with its 3 phases, the care and compassion the staff has (most of whom have been in my shoes before) and the daily treatment I received has made all the difference to me. There is something unique, something magical and something truly effective going on at GGR. Quinn, Aiden and Carrie who kinda run the show clearly know what they are doing and have implemented a program that truly works. They are all leaders both at GGR and in the sobriety community in Marin county. I attended golden gate and I was not a very good person I had a lot to learn about my self. They were very reassuring things would be ok set the guide lines and provided solutions all I had to do was take them. These simple tasks stuck with me. Today I am over a year sober after more than 10 different treatments and doing the Florida shuffle. The guys up at golden gate are now brothers I can call them anytime I need and they always answer ! Houses their are super nice too and all are in super nice areas. Meetings they take you too have the most kind caring people I have ever met !
