The first time I came to youth link they welcome me with open arms. They have help me with so much already. I only been going to youth link now for two weeks and the food is so good here all home cook food by a great chef. All the staff are nice. They treat the kids that the youth have with so much care and respect. I love youth link.

4 stars cause my experience with the case managers has been absolutely perfect. However I was wrongly banned for something that never happened, but 1 bad apple doesn't spoil the whole tree, so for that reason 4 starts.

Living with friends might be better than living here. I remember being rushed signing a lease. Lorna (I think the property manager, I can’t remember) is liked by some people, but she was the rudest most unprofessional woman there. She made me so uncomfortable. I remember I never had a set appointment time as I told Frankie I was coming after work without a set schedule, but that it would for sure be before 5:00 pm. She made a rude comment when I got there about being late..... umm nobody even gave you a time so what was she even talking about I was there at 4:30 maybe a little earlier. That was the first red flag. When discussing me moving in I was promised they would help me find parking since they only offer parking for STAFF that WORK there. So at my apartment building downtown, they prioritize their staff over people who actually live there. I’m not giving up my car as I had to live in it at one point. I literally had to pay for street parking every day. They never helped me figure out parking and said I needed to figure it out myself after I signed the lease. I was only allowed to park there from 5pm-8am, which they later changed their minds and said 7pm-8am. One morning I woke up late by accident, LORNA CALLED THE TOWING COMPANY AND HAD MY CAR REMOVED AT 8:12 AM. She didn’t call, didn’t come to my door and ask that I move it, she just did it. Knowing I’m already struggling with my life to be there in the first place. She was always a horrible woman to me. I really don’t know how she’s able to act like that and remain an employee.

Also get ready to deal with 3 other people you might not like. Music all night long, crazy roommates, relationship drama between everyone there. And COCKROACHES. I remember waking up one time in the night to my roommate boiling chemicals on the stove, she locked her door and the apartment was smoked out. My other roommate slept downstairs and I slept in a spare room used for therapy, sleeping on a bench since it was so smoked out.

BTW, good luck having any guests over literally ever.

I don’t have much good to say about this place. It LOOKS nice, but it’s entirely a hot mess.

To all landlords: do not do business with this organization! They take no active effort, outside of their initial a lot of time, to deal with the tenants that they put on to you. Most of the tenants can barely afford the rent outside of aid due to their complete and utter lack of responsibility. And then when this organization promises to rectify the matter they completely fall through and beginning ignoring your emails and calls.

In 1996 I became a homeless teen in Minneapolis. At the time youth link was called project Offstreets. These people do care!!!! They tried to help me but it was not my time. Even though I did not change my life at that time this place always made sure I was safe, fed, and met all my human needs!!!!’ I will forever be grateful for what this organization does for our youth!!!!! Homeless people care humane too!!!

So I get this place is to help homeless youth but what I don’t get is why I would have to completely be homeless to access a music studio? Like I was turned away the second I said I wasn’t completely homeless but I know many people who go there for the studio but have jobs and have stable housing. This place is a joke honestly they even went as far as making fake reviews to better their image.

a mecca of hope for homeless adolescents. The institute will provide basic needs, and as your bond with the order grows, they will find you affordable housing to gradually find yourself a place in this society. Insider sources tell me there is approximately only a 36 percent success rate of teens, but hey not everyone is going to climb out of the cesspool and depravity of life. Check it out if god forbid something catastrophic happened in your life leaving you in shambles without the bare necessities Of existence. I myself still am a huge work in progress, but they helped me reach a semblance of normalcy.
