Why is the pool so cold?! My child is going for swim lessons and is constantly shivering during his lesson. Even the instructor says it is too cold. I also can't have my child warm up in the shower after because the hot water only lasts for 2 minutes.... loving the swim instructor but the facility needs some tlc.

I am an active duty soldier who was looking for a place to workout while visiting family on leave for a couple weeks. In my experience every other YMCA I’ve been to will allow military members to workout for free while on leave as part of the Military Outreach Program with the YMCA. Apparently this YMCA does not honor that and instead wanted to charge me $10 a day which would’ve been well over $100. You would think being next to one of the biggest military bases they would honor it but I guess not.

THIS GYM HAS GONE TO THE DOGS!! THE LOCKER ROOMS ARE SCARY OLD AND JUST SAD. THE LADIES SAUNA HAS NOT HAD A LIGHT BULB IN OVER A YEAR. THE STEAM ROOM IS BROKE . THE GYM HAS NOT BEEN CLEAN OR SANITIZE SINCE BEFORE COVID. SPIDER WEBS IN EVERY CONER. TO EMBARRASS TO BRING A FRIEND. I HAVE TO FORCE MYSELF TO GO THERE BECAUSE I AM A MEMBER AND IT IS ONLY ONE YMCA IN FAYETTEVILLE NC.

With what little I interacted with the staff they seemed nice, and the classes are great, but the showers have next to now water pressure making it newly impossible to shower off after using the pool. And the lights in the sauna and steam room didnt work

The instructors Are very friendly and respectful. Except the instructor name SALLY is a very rude person she was teaching another instructor class Sally asked the question how was she doing. Don’t ask a question if you really don’t want an answer I said this was slower place than what we are use too Sally replied if anyone does like what I’m doing the door is right there I pay to be at the YMCA I don’t pay for rudeness I will never to her class which is chair Yoga

They won’t cancel a membership and will continue to charge you. Even though the gym has been closed for a year due to poor maintenance to the facility. Probably the oldest equipment in use to customers in the Fayetteville area. Dirty pool with no one managing lap lanes. I only joined this gym to swim laps in the summer with my teenage daughter. I regret signing up here though. I recommend everyone else seek out cheaper and better gyms.

I'm writing this in hopes that someone from the YMCA will reach back out to my multiple phone calls and emails. As of September 22nd 2022 the Sandhills location has been shut down due to water damages. Members were given the opportunity to use other local gyms and pools that the Y facilitated, with no extra fee. I emailed and waved out of this. For me the main focus of having a gym membership with them was for the pool. As of May I began pressing them to cancel my membership due to services I was paying were unable to be rendered. However, there was no response, just a continued monthly withdraw from my account. Over the past 5 months they have stollen 335 from my account and refuse to contact me back in correcting this. Knowing this is a christian company constructed on christian believes I would assume they would abide by the Ten Commandments. The second one being "thou shalt not steal." This would directly contradict their very public business model. I am hoping by creating public awareness that this organization will email, call me back or simply return all of the money they have stolen from my family.

I hope you all have a blessed day and I caution you to work with this organization.

Very convenient $10 day pass, friendly and nice staff at the front desk and nice pool not too busy for lap swimmers. What a treat to be able to swim in a 85°F water all year round! Thank you!
