We recently finished up the soccer season for our 4 year old, and we had absolutely the best time! Our coach, Haley Allison, was just wonderful getting the kids involved, active and focused. Not an easy task at all! But she sure makes it look that way, taking charge and pushing the kids to be a bit more active but also stepping back when it seems appropriate. I cannot wait to get back to sports. If you're looking for a great activity for your little one, I'd suggest you look into the Y!

We went to donate blood and the place was a buzz with activities. After school daycare, exercise room was half full, basketball gym had a game going(probably a league),the pool had young swim classes going as well as swim arobacs, We was in and out pretty quick considering there was 6 people in front of us and I was giving 2 pints of blood(power red). Overall I'd say it was a successful trip.

I have concerns around the smaller pool being clean enough to swim in. I took my kids in there yesterday and it smelled so strongly of urine that it was overwhelming. I could not smell any chlorine in that pool. Just pee smell. There was also no hand soap in either of the dispensers in the family locker room for us to wash our hands afterwards.

The front desk personnel are fantastic! They go out of their way to make sure they help with any questions you have and are honest about anything the YMCA doesn't provide. Great pool area, lots of machines, I could go on all day ☺️

Always thought highly of the ymca....until I tried to sign my child up for the teen referral program....i initially stopped by on a Friday and was informed i would hear back on Monday to schedule an appointment to see if i qualify....i heard nothing...after a week I called...whoever answered the phone had no idea what i was talking about but still put me thru to someone's voicemail....i left a message...waited a week and called back...voicemail again....left another message....just to be ignored again....I now have a bad taste in my mouth concerning the Y....the Statesville location anyways

Clean, welcoming environment. No one to make you feel pressured or judged (ifykyk) for trying to be a better/healthier you. Just wish the facility was a little more modern.

This is a great place to take your family, or just work out by yourself. Very clean, organized, well kept. People are so nice. There is one member of the staff that I try to avoid because they seem irritated by me and I’m not sure why. But otherwise, literally everyone else including the people who work in childcare are amazing!
