I place my two younger kids here since September. have had a lot of complaints from the kids specially my son because he is being bullied by another kid while in there. I have talk to the teachers they don’t seem to be very concerned or really watching the kids they just said to me that they can’t take sides like I’m asking them to be on my sons side all I’m asking them is to watch the kids. But they seem to think that by being polite and ignore the issue is going to fix it self. Any way I’m looking for another day care!

My 7 year old daughter LOVES going to the Ladera Ranch YMCA summer camp! Last year was her 1st year going to summer camp & she asked me to go back during the entire school year after! The activities & field trips are awesome for the kids & the staff is amazing! I never worried about her because the staff made me feel so comfortable. This is our 2nd summer at this YMCA summer camp & I'm sure we'll be back next year for more fun!

Unfortunately we have a bad experience here at Chaparral ymca after school care. First of all it’s overcrowded. Kids from 5th graders are together with kindergarten in the small rooms. Older kids who is more tricky bulls and provoke younger ones. Poor supervision from teachers because of lack of staff. Site director does not want to solve conflicts between kids on positive way and seems to be burnout. No encouragement, no attention, punishment only. Site director has favorites and don’t treat kids equally. Many families are not happy but don’t have another option of after school care and ready to sign and send a petition to the main YMCA office to improve this situation.

The YMCA at Ladera Ranch Elementary is the best! I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for after school care. They are always going above and beyond to make it and fun and educational experience for the kids! All the leaders genuinely care and connect with the students!
