Wine to Water was one of the first organized nonprofits to respond to the devastation of Hurricane Helene when it hit the Vilas/Sugar Grove area of North Carolina, west of Boone. We were the recipients of many cases of water to help get us through nearly two weeks of no power or water in our home, and, just as important, the recipients of the kindness and welcoming spirit of their volunteers
