As I came to shop the Springfield Winco Foods, I noticed it had been updated since I last shopped at this location. Something unique about Winco is they love to show value to customers as they come into their stores with prices of their competitors.
As I shopped in the produce department I was greeted by Emma, who asked if I was finding everything I was looking for, which I appreciated as each store is laid out a little differently. When I went to the deli dept employee Roger helped me find the freshly cut lunch meat I always buy that only Winco carries, this location no longer cuts fresh lunch meat at the counter any longer. The checkout process was seamless with no lines even at self check out.

Shop here in addition to Walmart delivery. If only they could deliver beer!
Bulk section is a big bonus, and they have the specific meat we like that Wally World doesn't have. I like the self check out too.

I give it about a two. My wife and I had 16 items and the blonde lady the front wouldn’t even let us use the self check out. I told my wife here you take 8 and I’ll take 8. She said I can’t let you do that. She’s must be the self check out police chief. Prices are decent. I’ll give them that.

The Staff is friendly, and there is a reason why, Winco is employee owned. One of many reasons this is my primary grocery store. Strong produce department, love the bulk foods section. Overall the most competitive prices compared to Albertsons, Walmart.. My partner has mobility issues due to his heart condition and they always provide a mobility cart for him which is another win. Walmarts carts are rarely available or all being used. Open 24 hours, love that. The only downside is that the check out lines can be a bit long, but they move fast and I dont mind the wait with the money I am saving.

Under construction. Which is cool. Overall, an older store in an older shopping center. All is fair in love and shopping. I found decent prices today. Some of their sale prices are outstanding. So be it.

Honestly really busy, at least tonight (6:30pm , December). I mean it might just be the holiday coming up though. Whatever you do, don’t bother trying to go through the self checkout with Any more than 15 items 😅 The lady there was on point with stopping us 😂

Last several times I've bought products from them it has been rotten or became rotten a day or 2 after buying. I've been shopping here since I was a child, and I'm going to continue shopping, but with higher standards for the produce I'm picking.
