Fifty-five years ago, Jesus called me up out of a deep emotional pit and gave me new life with Him. At the same time, He called me to Wellspring Church where I was taught to study the Bible, ask questions and search the Scriptures for the truth myself. It is a place where the Word of God is preached with a focus on studying the atttributes of God that we might know Him more and more, not just about Him, and also on becoming like Jesus by walking by the Spirit and allowing Him to produce fruit in our hearts and actions: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control--Galatians 5:22-26. Throughout the ups and downs of my life, I have been prayed for, received care and been ministered to by a loving local church family, and it is a place where I am able to minister to others as well. Wellpring's ministry is not limited to those in the church, but we have a God-given burden to minister to the needy (body, soul and spirit) and make disciples for Jesus. If you are looking for a church home where you will be fed, loved and have the opportunity to know and serve our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, come to Wellspring and see.

I love Wellspring Church! The worship is so uplifting, and the Spirit moves powerfully every time we gather. Our community is deeply committed to the Word and to loving Jesus. We arent perfect people, but we are doing our best to be like Christ and serve together as a body, like what is described in Acts 2! Wellspring is truly a special place to grow in faith and fellowship!

I have had the privilege of being part of this wonderful church family for many years now, and truly love having a place where my family and I can come into the presence of the Lord, hear His word preached, and worship alongside like minded brothers and sisters in Christ who are faithfully seeking Him and His ways. The pettiness of the people at this place reporting and trying to hide negative reviews is so funny to me.

The only reason all these 5 star, glowing reviews are “edited” is just so that the new/recent negative ones get buried—they never have anything new to say.

Instead of burying bad reviews, why not just be better and prove the bad reviews wrong? How about a public apology from Chris Otis to all the broken families he’s helped destroy? Put that “media” section on your fancy new website to use 🙂

I truly believe 90% of the negative reviews would vanish over night if Chris Otis gave a public apology AND y’all started actively preaching against the practice of shunning. Simply not teaching shunning isn’t enough after decades of Lakeview’s brainwashing.

Formerly known as Lakeview Christian Life Church, this place is changing its name, but apparently not its ways, though they claim it to be so! I know because I, personally, continue to be cut off by my family members who are still in it, even though they are supposedly "turning over a new leaf". There are many, many ex-members who support each other because they are so devastated and hurt to still be cut off by friends and family, due to the fact that they left this place at some point over the last 50 years. I don't know if Lakeview/ Wellspring is trying to undo a bad reputation with the name change, but I do know my family still won't talk to me. In their eyes I broke a "lifelong covenant vow" (eerily similar to Scientology's "Billion Year Contract"), and one they liken unto a marriage vow. They insist we left them and wont talk to us. Well, even if that was true, divorced people can find amicable relationships on the other side! I miss my sister, nieces, and nephews SO much! The thing is, WE still seek a relationship and ask them to talk to us. We get silence in response.

The 5 star reviews are all from members who are trying to bump up their review score. Many are from people who were born into this place and know nothing else.
Unfortunately, I know of people inside, who continue to attend, and the ONLY reason they're there is because they know if they decide to attend church somewhere else, they'll be cut off and they'll lose relationships. They don't want to lose family and friends, so they continue to stay. It's truly sad to feel so trapped!
I just want people to know what will likely happen if they attend this place and what they'll be party to. I will gladly take down this review or modify it if I ever hear from my family. That WOULD be a sign of things changing. I continue to wait.

My years at Wellspring have been very positive. I am fortunate to have the privilege of pursuing an ever deeper relationship with my Lord Jesus while having the whole truth of the Bible preached and the power and leading of the Holy Spirit infusing our services and activities. Being able to navigate the challenges of this life with leaders who care and help and many friends to support and share the good and the bad is truly a beautiful gift.
