I have a lot of thoughts regarding We Level Up. Ryan the admissions guy straight up lied to me about the facility, telling me we would have multiple one-on-one therapy sessions, have access to my laptop, and that they had a pool.

This was all false. They took my laptop and phone and kept them under lock and key for the duration of my stay. The pool is 8 inches deep. We were lucky to get a single individual session per week, if that. The place is supposed to have 25 people tops; it was always around 35, overbooked and crammed in like Spirit Airlines. They were constantly shuffling people around and moving or discharging them long before 30 days was up. Sometimes the person being discharged would find out only a few hours before they left. The place was so understaffed and disorganized.

In trying to figure out my discharge plan I was told I was paid through a full 30 days: after the fact I learned I was only covered for 21. I had to pester the staff and keep inquiring until they finally got me a meeting. They didn’t seem to care or have any sense of urgency about my discharge date despite the fact I was supposed to be leaving in a few days: they told me “worst case you’ll stay here a few more days.” It was only through my persistence and dogged determination that I got my discharge and aftercare plan figured out in time.

The food situation isn’t entirely their fault as it’s provided by a catering company, but it was disappointing for the first few weeks. Portions were at times small; we got ribs one night and many people only received a single bone. One day I got a salad made out of greens, ground beef and strawberries. After we complained the food got immediately and noticeably better.

Some people may find the groups helpful; I personally did not. I tend to gravitate towards smaller groups and individual therapy in my recovery. The groups here are very large and most of the time the “education” consists of reading packets written by people outside the facility and being told “thank you for sharing.” One day we got a Mad Libs to fill out: I personally don’t think people suffering from drug and alcohol addiction are going to get anything out of an elementary school toy like Mad Libs, I found it patronizing and insulting. Indeed many of the people who run the groups are content to treat the clients are though they are children at summer camp or a daycare center. At times the rules and restrictions seemed not to apply: I had my books locked up for almost a week before I got them back, yet they allowed one client to sleep through groups all day, wake up in the afternoon and play Xbox all night without any sort of reprimand.

I really appreciate Donna, Vanessa, Louis, Kruise, Tim and Daniel for all their dedication and hard work. However the place is in a perpetual state of chaos and disorganization due to being chronically understaffed. The nursing team in particular leaves a lot to be desired. I saw a client have a seizure from benzodiazepine withdrawal have to be escorted down the hall because their shakes were so bad, and the nurses were in their station laughing instead of helping her. One guy OD’d on something he’d brought with him and had Narcan administered 4 times…by his ROOMMATE, not the nursing staff. On occasion

My boyfriend and our dog have been there twice. They have been so good to us. This last time has helped so much. Life changing really. We are not the easiest people to deal with, but they dealt with us with patience and love. We appreciate every staff member, nurse, BHT, everyone. It's just been a blessing. Thank you so much We Level Up. You are part of our story and what you did for us won't be forgotten. ♡

Staff was excellent! Of course it's not all rainbows and unicorns but I think people tend to forget it's rehab/detox not a vacation. They definitely helped me level up to my next step and I will always be grateful for the time I spent here.

We level up in lake Elsinore I can say with 100 percent certainty saved my life. I came in broken and hopeless with no thought I could ever get healthy and the clinical, operational, and medical staff showed me that there is a life beyond addiction. I was at the lowest point in my life and this facility has brought me back to a place that I feel hopeful about the future ahead of me. From detox to residential this facility offers every person who walks through those doors a new life and I would be dead today if it wasn’t for we level up. Thank y’all so much for all the support and I would recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for a better life

I am not one to go leave a bad review on a business unless it really deserves it. I just want to start off and say the way this program lies is so unprofessional and bad for people’s recovery I could go on and on. I attended this program last September and it’s horrible. There understaffed unorganized and there’s no reason there should be 38 people in a program at once. When I was there they had a worker asking me to notify the higher ups about the administrations lies. Do better level up your messing with peoples recovery!!

The staff is very hit or miss. There are people there who care deeply for the clients but they're outnumbered.

It's a great facility, you're well fed and taken care of, for the most part.

However, they are culpable of misleading advertising. As I am moving onto PHP, they advertised themselves as being near the beach with easy transportation.

If you want to get clean and put it in the work, you will have a hard time finding a better place. Faults and all.

We level up as a wonderful place I was able to get more in a stable state of mind once coming over to this place. They’ve helped me out tremendously and I wouldn’t recommend anyone else. They Did a fantastic job on helping me out on my journey towards becoming a better man. I hadn’t had more than a month sober in the last 12 years. This place has saved my life. The staff is incredibly caring and the community here is so positive and supportive. I feel so grateful to have been able to come here. I’m finally excited to never drink or use again. All I can say is thank you.
