I was actually not thrilled about having to travel from Centerville, where I live, to Greenville for the surgery. What I learned was ...it was worth the drive! The care I received in your ambulatory services was outstanding. I felt like I was the only patient being cared for that day. All the physicians, nurses and aides provided exceptional care. I can say as a PhD nurse with 50+ yrs in healthcare I know whereof I speak. Two nurses who provided most of my pre-op and post-op care really stand out - Ginny RN and Jenny RN. I felt very confident in their professionalism and especially attention to detail in my care. Thanks to the entire staff that provided such excellent care to me.

Until last night be had never been to Wayne Hospital. My dad was transported there because it was the closest and honestly after reading the reviews I was a little nervous. After arriving they had him triaged quickly and we were allowed to go back. They were quick and attentive and super nice. They were able to put our minds at ease about a situation we were very concerned about and ultimately my dad was released a little after 3 am.

Underwent a total knee replacement 23 days ago. The surgery team went beyond my expectations in taking care of me through my surgery and additional pain relief care. The nurses were so attentive and caring. PT and OT got me prepped to come home same day and actually climb the 3 large steps to enter my home. They were a great team and skilled above and beyond. So encouraging to have this kind of wonderful care this close to home. Don’t hesitate to have your surgery at Wayne!

I had complete knee replacement of my left knee performed by Joseph Dicco on, Wednesday, March 19, 2025. This was the second knee to be replaced by Dr. Dicco, but the first at Wayne. The entire process was smooth and seamless…the pre-surgery was well organized and handled with one visit. The day of the surgery was well organized with no details left uncovered. The entire staff was a pleasure to associate with for me as the patient and my wife who was there as my support.

I grew up in Greenville and was born at Wayne Hospital. I really never heard a lot of good things about the care given there. Today, the staff in the emergency department went over and above giving compassion, care, kindness and concern to my family. They were well staffed, knowledgeable and appreciative when I tried to help, as a daughter and myself a nurse! I truly appreciate each of them who were just as cheerful at the end of their 12 hour shift as they were when I met them at the beginning of it! Thank you!

Staff are very kind. Doctor Bembry (may have mis spelled his name) was the doctor I seen. He did a great job explaining to me what different kinds of birth control are available and which one sounded the best fit for me. Everything went as expected. I would recommend this place 🙂

Came in to the ER with body chills, low body temp, deep cough. The first nurse did the triage, vitals, tested me for Covid/flu/rsv and was informed I am still breastfeeding. After chest X-ray and all tests came back clear, I was told I have an unknown upper respiratory virus. The Physician’s Assistant came in to prescribe promethazine and an inhaler. I asked was that safe for nursing moms. She had no idea I was still breastfeeding even though it was in my chart. The second RN came in with discharge paperwork and told me they were prescribing me the highest dose of Mucinex DM. I again asked was this safe while nursing and again she hadn’t looked at my chart to see I was still nursing. This is just one instance of several I’ve experienced where the staff don’t properly examine and treat patients because they aren’t paying attention to medical history, charts or triage info. Situations like this are exactly why I chose to drive 40 minutes in active labor to Miami Valley instead of delivering here. The ER and OB/GYN departments of this facility should be re-evaluated.

It was amazing how things moved quickly but not rushing. You could tell the whole team worked well together and didn’t miss a beat including Dr. Reiss. I was impressed to say the least as it has been awhile since I’ve seen Wayne Hospital function in a more positive direction . I’m glad for community to have a safe place with caring , knowledge, and teamwork . And strive to go to next level doing bigger and better for their patients. Great job!
