This place is so awful and rude ive been dealing with one particular person that is over ebt and she is telling me my son can't have his own ebt and first it was he has to prove he is disabled with health issues back last year as well then has to prove he is homeless and when I done an application for ebt last year she did not go by any paystubs I had from work she said oh you will only be getting 23.00 a month WOW 👏 and also my son was going to be put on my application and before it was processed I said he does not want to be on my application he wants to apply on his own and she will not allow him there is a person that advocates for things like this he done the application on line for my son and so alls my son had to do was the interview and that was Monday I belive and sje started getting his info over the phone and then said oh no u can't you have to remain on your moms application till your 22 years old no he doesn't and he was supposed to be removed as my application was not even processed yet and still yet she left him on the application very wrong to do and as well my ebt was terminated as the letter I received in the mail after the fact of what they needed sent back in to do my recertification so if I am not getting ebt and they terminated my case then how come still is she trying to say my son can not apply and he really needs the assistance as his health is not good and he needs food and he needs the health drinks like boost that are high calorie and protein and there are several people that I know of that live or are homeless and they do not cook or share there ebt together and they are allowed to still apply and get ebt also when I have been out of work the past couple months cause my son's health my pay checks have went down to nothing in pay and yet I tried calling to report that I was not getting the full 40 hours a week and boy they don't care about that and do not make changes on there end like they are supposed to do and that means upping the ebt a little bit nope they don't do that like they are supposed to and I mean she has discriminated so much and its so wrong and telling me we are wrong and even her supervisor a couple months back was being the same way hateful as hell and saying oh you can't reply to the emails only for ebt well thats what I did and to tell her before she processed my application to remove my son he was applying on his own sorry for the long rant but this is the whole time consuming bullshit that they have done its very sickening very much so and we do not have a record to not be able to get ebt neither and plus I think she has some kind of connection to my sons fathers EX and that is why we are not getting nowhere with our application for my son as well and he does need the health drinks as if I could afford them I would buy them for him but I can't and he is his own individual self and by law they should be allowing him his own card and application and all im m going to do a complaint to wherever it needs to go and not to the local department I have already tried and nothing gets done with this person and she can go on vacation and be out of office for months at a time supervisor has even said oh she won't be in office for couple months we will have to send your recertification to another case manager for temporary till she is back this has happened in the past even leaving us to hang in mid air wondering and having our paperwork and things in on time and nothing and no its wrong people should not have to starve waiting on someone to get back to finish up there application neither and i was told oh you must work you never answer your phone I sais well you work and you never answer your phone at all I said ya know people could be at another appt or even taking a shower like really u call when u get a wild hair up your butt and do not call at the scheduled times you make

Donna put mine and my husbands information in the system incorrectly, took that information as fact and has acted very accusatory and rude towards my family when she called them. We have been respectful and diplomatic about this entire process, so I'm not sure where the attitude is coming from. It's caused us significant stress and we've had to go hungry while trying to get things cleared up. Hopefully I can get assigned to a different caseworker.

Horrible experience. They are very unprofessional. They will discuss your case with others in the office instead of asking you directly. Will accuse you of stuff instead of asking you. When they do ask you something it’s in a belittling tone & they will talk over you. I’m going through some health issues & right now I’m out of work so I need their services which is so unfortunate because I have to deal with them until I can move. I’ve noticed some prejudice. Definitely some racism going on. I have a good friend who is white who is receiving about 5 services from them & she has had a great experience. Me as a black woman they want to know why I grocery shopped in another town. Constantly pulling up my account to see where I shopped, how much I spent etc. I’ve literally been discriminated against since receiving services. They need employee training. A lot of the older women there have nothing better to do so they do tend to be very nosey & pick with you. It may just be best to struggle until you can get back on your feet if you’re a minority here. I do apologize on behalf of them because it shouldn’t be that way. I’be dealt with dss for one service in my hometown never ever did I have these issues with them. They pointed you to resources, help advocate, & do what’s within their job description to help the general public. It’s a hard time for everyone right now with inflation & life in general. How sad a place meant to help will stress you even more.
