My mom wss in this a facility and i must say i am very impressed. The staff is caring and did there due diligence in taking care of my mother. The doctor and nurses looked out for her medical needs. Her dietary needs were met and the therapy that was provided was excellent. I highly reccomend walnut cove.

I'm lucky to have a great rehab facility in my small town. We take care of our neighbors and friends at Walnut Cove. The staff truly care about the residents and their families. We provide that small town feel for the people in this town.

My aunt was a resident here at this facility and they gave great care to her while she was there ! I’m thankful for the staff that took care of her and loved her like their own . Meant a lot to me & my family .

My friend is a patient there and she messed on herself twice and had to clean herself by herself. She rang her call button and it was on for hours and no one came. She can't walk and it looks as though she never will. Why can't these seniors be treated with dignity. My friend calls me every day and
sometimes crying because of the lack of caring. I wish I knew who owned that place!

Please don't send your family to this facility!!! They don't have the doors locked on a regular basis and their is no one there to answer the phone. When I visited the facility it was too easy to get in and no one was at the desk to have you sign in or out. The bed was so old and it was shaking. It took the nurse several hours to come to the room once my family member was brought there so she was in a wheelchair chair way too long. They had animals there and young children just running around. A patient greeted a family member instead of the office person. They seemed to be very short staffed and the two CNA's that came did the best they could. The RN waited on the CNA's to come put my family member in the bed instead of doing it herself. The nurse didn't seem to care about patients and she was on her cell phone. The person that transported my family member had to go to the front desk and ask them to send someone to the room. It felt like the staff has not been trained to care for Alzheimer's patients. My loved one had Alzheimer's and they didn't listen to the family caregiver who explained her care plan. I called the night before to speak with the nurse and I was told that she was taking care of a patient in crisis. I asked them to have her to call me back and that never happened. The phone call was made that our loved one passed away the very next day. They never followed the contact list because they only called the first name on the list. We will never know the true time or day when our loved one actually passed away. I really suggest that you not leave your loved one at this place, but if it's the only place you can afford be sure to have someone check on the every day. Ask questions and make sure your loved one is given the best care.

My mother was there and she kept getting infections after infections and end up in the hospital due to to it just to be out right back there! She was always calling me telling me she was hungry and I can’t write this without falling apart! I tried to help her but got no where, now my mama is gone, the amount of weight she had lost in a short time was heartbreaking to see and I did report this place! I beg you please please do not put your family member here for anything period! A CNAII never ever forgets her training, I knew what to look for on my mother and she was right, she was not being properly cleaned, she never knew when she could get a bath and she just wanted someone to care and help her and I tried I tried, Dee and I both tried to help her. Now mama is gone, she passed on November 15th 2023 and I cry for her every single day, I can’t bring her back, someone needs to care enough about their loved ones. As I sat by my mothers side crying, I caught a different sister talking doing a lawsuit against this rest home and if she had listened to me, our mother would have never been mistreated so how dare her, she is just as bad as the people that mistreated my mama period! I’m not like her by no means and someone is going to answer for this! My mother mattered to me and to my sister Dee and these people need to be held accountable! People’s loved ones matter! I want justice for my mother and other families and their families. I graduated at the top of my class and I worked in rest home, I loved helping our elders so not only myself but many others have worked in rest homes and have done the exact same work in every way. Many do it for all the wrong reasons and just want a paycheck but for me and many others we chose that line of work because we actually cared about our patients, our elders and still do. Top quality healthcare begins with whom is taking care of them on a daily basis and it best be done with love and compassion. Nothing is unseen.

Wife was here for rehab for about 2 weeks they were amazing a few hiccups here and there but nothing so bad i have to write about it.
