Ron helps who he wants to help. Must be nice to play God. 3 people who work alongside him told me I'm eligible, except him. This dude expected me to quit 2 jobs and jump in the program. Said i "made too much" like he knows why i work, or my debts. Wouldn't help even though I was just inquiring at the tine. When asked why, he lied and said he tried to help me already. Not the case. Others have been helped but I doubt they look like me...Am I missing the definition of eligible I hope they replace him with a non-biased, more diverse individual, that understands that there are corrupt individuals in the military. He reminds me of more than a few of them. Reasons I hated serving in my last unit. Having others scared to go against him because he might fire them. Reprisal is REAL! Know it well. You get paid to HELP, not SCREW OVER. Veterans Damaging Veterans seems more fitting for this place. Keep your program, I'll find my way without the damages from a biased business like this. 👎🏾

Update2025*** I went through another program that actually helped me get my own place. Been there a year now. SSVF is a more fitting program for me and God knew that. And I still work 2 jobs 🙃. I won't downgrade my work ethic for a program that couldn't help upgrade my life. Thank you SSVF!!

I am writing this review to help out anyone on the streets who is struggling for a place to stay temporarily without judgment and etc. The staff here aren't nice (except for Mr. Dave & other night staff/cooks). After a month of living here, I decided to leave and continue staying out of my car. The reason why I did was that the staff seemed as if they wanted to hinder you from growth and independence. I went on countless job interviews and even walked into businesses asking for anything they could give me. And, the staff here did not care. They constantly gave you dirty looks and kept gossiping about people that were busy trying to transform their lives. Sidebar: Being that this is a men's facility, you would think they would have more respect for each other. Each veteran must submit to a monthly drug test and administer a breathalyzer each night which was expected. However, the curfew is 9 pm and most of the people who work don't follow it. What sense does that make? They could of at least given us until 10 pm. Good god almighty. Lastly, there is a dude here who is over the facility. He seems to be extremely underhandedly sneaky, condescending, and easily agitated with anyone receiving employment and ignoring the drama. Sounds to me like he needs to work more on his communication/interpersonal skills. It was so exhausting living here that I do not know how anyone stays there for more than a year. Lastly, stay away from anyone with the name Will. He's extremely fake. You've been warned. Update: I received two jobs living there and I'll be moving into my place by March. So, if you do decide to live there. Make sure you hurry up and find employment ASAP! Godspeed.

This was my first opportunity to volunteer with this group. We served a taco dinner to the Veterans. They were so happy with this , they requested we make tacos again. One of their favorites☺ After dinner they enjoyed some Bingo with prizes for all. It was very rewarding to be in their presence. God Bless America and our Veterans!!
