I have been donating regularly for about two years. I always go to the Racine location. The ENTIRE staff is nothing short of amazing. They are so professional and welcoming.
I also want to say that their work is so critical! Too often, it's us donors that get the praise, but we would be useless without these amazing people (phlebotomists). They are in the trenches, day in and day out.

Great facility and kind staff. Everyone is very patient and attentive for everyone donating; making sure everyone is feeling alright and providing food and drinks if needed.
The entire process is very swift yet thorough, I highly recommend to anyone interested in donating, it's very easy and it helps so many people!

This is our second time donating at the Racine center. The staff at the center is so friendly and interactive. They make you feel like they’ve been waiting all day for you to get there.
Everyone from the greeter to the person collecting the blood makes sure you are comfortable throughout the whole experience, they explain everything, and check on you often.
It’s fun listening to them have conversations among themselves, but still include the donors as well if they are interested in participating. You can chat, watch TV, play on your phone or just “space out”. It’s your call.
The process for completing the check in - safety questionnaire is easy and can be done online before you even arrive. They are safe, clean and make sure you understand what will happen during check in, through collection, and even where your blood may be used to save lives after distribution.
I would encourage everyone to donate blood, and if you’re looking for a center where you’re sure to be comfortable and even have a good time, this might be your selection . Plus, there will be a fridge full of cold ones and a counter of yummy treats to replenish you!

About every two months (they call and text and email to remind me, which is better for me because otherwise I'd prolly just forget) I go here to have an ice cold can of V8 and a packet of trail mix. For this I "trade" a pint of my blood and about half an hour of my time. In addition to the snack I get to know that somebody, somewhere, and I won't know who gets the blood they need that maybe saves their life. Not a bad exchange in my mind.

I have been giving blood here for years and thought that would change after moving. Luckily, this is still the closest Blood Center to my new house. For just a little bit of your time, you get friendly people, a snack and the opportunity to make a positive difference in people's lives! Always enjoy my experience here.
