Facilities are very nice, unfortunately the medical staff needs to be more efficient. I’d see one neurologist in the community to do the same thing as three different departments here. Also, I’ve been waiting for more than 2 hours for an appointment that I showed up early for.

A big Salute to Dr Robt-Marlo Bautista MD AND his 3 nurses Alexis LPN, Michele RN, Cathy Navigator nursery and Laura RN. Whether on the phone or in person they all treated me with respect and dignity & Dr Bautista will be my future surgeon using the Da Vinci robotic for my hernia repair.
9/30/2024 Returned for 2 week post operative follow up and came in to talk to Dr. Bautista again who is a young, energetic, kind, compassionate caring special individual. He holds the rank of Captain and takes good care of his health no drinking or smoking and exercises regularly. He also takes care of emergency surgeries that come into the VA HOSPITAL. He did a normal job on the robotic Surgery called the Da Vinci machine. my follow up exam went great and looked great, and I even wore my navy uniform and hat, and made sure that when I saw him this time, I saluted him because I wanted to honor his skill set and taking care of me. Again, God bless the doctor and his staff, and I think the hospital for, such excellent care.
They really pay attention to cleanliness and sanitation . they had me bathe and washed with a special soap the night before surgery in the morning before and when I arrived, they gave me six more antiseptic towels for my arms, legs, front and back. They gave me his special mouthwash, toothbrush, and even iodine swabs to swab out, my nostrils. I was impressed because I know myself that bacteria and infections can really be life changing and detrimental. Should you acquire it during or after surgery. The packet they give you is very detailed and makes it important that you keep your incisions, clean and dry and don’t bathe and take showers or lift weights anymore than 10 pounds for six weeks afterwards.

I also want to mention and Salute Pre-Ops Staff Nurse Practitioner Ronnie Bowen who took a lengthy time with me going over bloodwork, chest X-rays and EKG TRACINGS. He was awesome. His nurse helper Rochelle .Great personal attention. Thank you for Kentesha at the front desk who’s always smiling as she greets all us vets.

A salute to the X-Ray staff Duncan Johnston who was excellent and really great personality. Made me feel very comfortable.

Also a special special thanks for the anesthesiologist and I’m sorry I miss placed his name. His job is very important to bring you back after they put you out before surgery.

The Optical department Allana Fa Garagan great as she found my lost glasses that were missing for months and the always kind desk receptionists always kind and patient all day long or after hour with lines of patients and telephone calls. I have to answer. Sorry, I forgot their names.

The phlebotomist Alejandro in the lab was expedient and wonderful as well as beautiful black lady who I forgot her name was also great two days later when I went back to the lab.

Thanks to the entire VA Hospital personnel from top to bottom and all the vendors and volunteers who make the hospital run like a well oiled clock.

Dear Radiology and staff personnel.

I visited late yesterday afternoon and was met by Britney at the counter and a radiologist named Giovanni. They were both excellent and I had great rapport with them. They both had smiling faces and I could see loved working with people.

Absolutely the finest Veteran patient care facility I've ever been to. The nicest, most modern, professionally equipped VA Hospital ever. The staff are so kind and helpful. Unprecedented service from truly dedicated medical professionals. I've been in the VA system for decades and praise this facility. The care is so good it literally brings you to tears. Please don't believe any negative reviews. There is a big DAV presence here, thanks for their service and dedication !

I hesitate to write about the phenomenal services and care I have experienced here because I fear the hospital will become overcrowded. The Women's Health Facility feels more like specialized private care. The entire VA Facilities, Staff, Cleanliness, Technology, Appointment availability , Cafeteria food…etc…ALL EXCELLENT! This VA Hospital deserves every solid 5 STAR Review…hands down. I just hope it can handle the masses as more veterans discover the EXCELLENT Whole Health services and care provided here. THE BEST!!
The only negative is parking on some days is very full...however I discovered there's usually plenty of parking on the far away east side...

This is a review of the Dermatologist Dr Solomon. Without warning he abruptly pulled my shorts down while I was laying on my back during an exam. My junk fully exposed. Creeped me out. If he had professionally explained or warned me the first time I would have been okay with it but to just yank my drawers down was inappropriate in my opinion.

Come today to get blood work for primary doctor visit on Wednesday. Still waiting for my number 125 to be call. When I got the ticket, VA calling for #95 that was 11:10. Now 12:30 and Still waiting for my number to be called. That is 30 people to get blood drawn. They act like we have all day or something. UNBELIEVABLE.

Almost impossible to get anyone to answer the phone. Call different depts, no answer. Last week I had to call the emergency nurse line, get the nurse to get someone to call me. That person had to physically walk the whole length of the hospital to get the dept I wanted to call me. He said he knows nobody answers the phones anymore . Then I wanted to talk to a nurse at the Laughlin Clinic, was told they don't answer phones anymore. Need an appt with Urologist, told me next available was in Oct.
We Veterans need a CARD, like rMedicare or So we can make our own appts locally, like Bullhead City or Kingman.
TERRIBLE WAY TO RUN ANYTHING ?!!!!

Fairly new facility, clean and easy to navigate inside. Check-in kiosks are great as well as all the available maps , signs, and directions. If your still lost, there are helpful folks at the information center. Free WiFi is available as well which is a nice touch for those with smart devices during long wait times. I've had blood work done here and was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Prescription area tends to be a long wait though, but that's the way it is at any hospital, drugstores, or clinics.
