I have seen a lot of negative reviews about this USCIS office, but my experience was completely different. When I arrived, I accidentally entered from the wrong side, but the staff kindly let me in. Everyone I encountered was polite and professional.

I believe that many people who have had bad experiences may not know how to communicate effectively. The officers and staff appreciate respect, and they respond in kind. Even though I was late for my interview, there was no issue, and the officer who conducted my interview Mr.Dawsonia was extremely professional.

The next day, I had to return with additional documents, and they allowed me inside without even asking for proof of my appointment.

My advice: Treat people with respect, communicate politely, and you will be fine. My experience at this office was smooth and professional from start to finish.

Very nice environment, officers were helpful. If you ask something they answer very nicely unlike some other govt office, but the lady who took my civics test she was little rude not a big deal tho. Like very little. Cause i guess she was doing same thing again and again since morning thats why i guess. But it was okay.

No communication, everytime you try to call for help you get told either to wait or send an email just to never receive a call or communication back. If I could give this place a negative star I would.

Overall experience was alright. It was not great and not terrible. Security was the usual rude airport type check in but after I went to my room, the officers were polite. I was on the 9th floor and the officer who interviewed me was professional, straightforward, no nonsense kind of lady. At the end of the appointment, I told her that I would be traveling soon and She made a face then told me why I didn’t tell her this sooner. She told me to write a letter (did not say exactly what to write/ just assumed that I know). Anyways, I did the letter and it was accepted after she reviewed it once. I then proceeded to the fourth floor to wait with my mom who had her interview and the officers seemed more welcoming there. There was even an officer cracking jokes. So the takeaway to this review is depending on the attitude of the officer you get, you either get a bad or good experience. Just make sure you have all your documents well organized (passport, green card, state issued ID) and study your booklet. Good luck!

My first interview here at the offices was nice and pleasant, with a true gentleman, but my most recent experience with Officer Watson during my citizenship interview was just awful. She seemed to wish me to fail or not want to be at her job that day. She was simply rude and nasty.

When I asked her a question about changing my name, she simply disregarded it and moved on to the next question. When she asked me something I explained, she just cut me off. USCIS should train and retrain its employees. In the end, they are public workers, and to some extent, we are paying customers who deserve respect and some quality interaction.

The line was long, but no need to come too early because you will just wait outside. I came 20-30 mins before the appointment and it was perfect! Everyone was very friendly and nice.

My wife was told to come back the next day by a employee to re take the written test.. my wife asked do I have to wait for a notice in the mail? The employee replied by saying no just come in. So we go the following day and they told us you need to wait for a letter in the mail.. we wasted a day because of misinformation given to us by this employee..very disappointed in the professionalism of this specific employee..
