I'm writing this low not because the teachers are bad or the school room, but that there is no amenities here for children who struggle in school. My son has went through a extraordinary really difficult time and is struggling with disciplinary issues and mental issues and they basically kicked my son out of school because he was struggling to fit in. As far as I know he was never mean to any of the children at the school one time he accidentally tripped a girl when he was running but he said it was an accident. My son has add and odd and possibly is on the autism spectrum but is high functioning. They made me and his father come in and set with him on and off until they finally just gave up on it. It was really heartbreaking we were doing everything we could his parents to try to support them and help even though we were tired struggling and missing work to be there to help them. The teachers are really good I really liked all of the teachers. I that the school building itself is really not set up for the most prosperous School setting in my opinion it's in a basement which made me feel safe about my child being protected from storms and such but it also caused a lot of issues with me feeling like little children should not be cooped up in a basement with no windows all day. I gave it three stars because I feel like it's not bad but it's not great either for everyone. If your child is struggling you might want to seek out other places before you go here. I have heard of several other places although there's not many in town Harrison is just not equipped for children with disabilities in a lot of ways. I don't really want to sound like I'm complaining completely because like I said I had a lot of really good experiences at the school too. The teachers tried really hard I think to make it work for my son it just wasn't set up for him and they didn't have the extra hands to help. I think so that everyone needs to see this review because when I looked up this place I saw 5 star ratings and everything they told me made me feel like my son would be welcome there even though I knew he was struggling I thought it would be okay especially when I saw him with his teachers. Ultimately my son's issues one out and there was not a system in place to help him. if your child has issues like ADD ODD and autism you may meet some difficulties in the school and I think that's something that needs to be heard. I also was particularly unhappy with the way I was treated about this from the higher-ups at the school. I think they tried to be nice about it but they had a very obvious opinion that this was mine and his father's fault. they sent a parenting book home with me as if we hadn't read parenting books trying to fix this. Actually I think it was an Educators book that they use. While I was thankful for the help they were trying to give, I also felt like it might have been out of place. They are not therapists and they should not have been trying to diagnose my son or make us feel guilty about how he was acting. It was very obvious we were trying hard we were there every time they called. We got them they needed when they ask for it. we also individually seeked out therapy for him in two different therapist and took a 30-day leave against what was better for us and our son because it was disrupting the classroom and we didn't want to do that to the other children. We did everything we could and we were returned with not much thankfulness and almost kind of judgmentalness that we shouldn't have had to encounter from educators who know that it's not always black and white with children. I want to contribute this mostly to an experience on the behalf of the ones involved. Perhaps we were the first parents this person had encountered who had this issue.

I've had to use Ozark opportunities for utility assistance a few times and these folks do not make u fell less than always eager to help. I probably could of gotten their help more than I have but I would rather save the funds for a family that would do without vs having help from Ozark opportunities. And Susan the lady that retired early last year we'll all I'm gonna say she is greatly missed
