Facility Details and Amenities

The Turning Point Foundation utilizes a repurposed building โ€“ formerly a firehall โ€“ to house its operations. This unique space currently features twelve full-size bedrooms, a common kitchen complete with a refrigerator, stove, and laundry facilities. A television is also available for communal use, along with shower facilities. The layout suggests a focus on providing a comfortable, albeit somewhat basic, dwelling experience. Opinions and Considerations (Based on Available Information)

Customer feedback, as reflected in online reviews, suggests a blend of positive and practical observations. The buildingโ€™s history as a firehall lends it a certain character, while the arrangement of the bedrooms and communal areas provides a shared experience. However, some comments indicate a more basic level of accommodation, akin to a motel setting, and highlight the need for ongoing improvements to ensure full accessibility for all users. It appears that a strong sense of community is fostered, and residents are encouraged to interact and support one another.

The building itself used to be a firehall.
Twelve full size bedrooms, common kitchen, fridge, stove, laundry, TV, & shower. Not bad.
Just like a motel. No handicapped ptivelages.
Everybody the same.

Worst run help organization I have ever been involved with or needed help from. RUDE AND OBNOXIOUS STAFF. SEEMS LIKE THE ARE MORE CONCERNED WITH FINANCIAL DONATIONS THAN ACTUALLY HELPING THOSE IN NEED. THE HOUSE MANAGER " ANGLE " AT THEIR VETERANS TRANSITIONAL HOUSE @ 43 EAST VINCE ST. VENTURA CA. IS POSITIVELY THE MOST INEXPERIENCED AND CONFRONTATIONAL PERSON AS HE SEEMS TO DISMISS RESIDENTS RATHER THAN WORKING WITH THEM TO SOLVE PROBLEMS. AND MOST OF THE RESIDENTS ARE DAMAGED VETERANS IN A CRISIS SITUATION WHOM ARE KICKED TO THE CURB AND SENT INTO A MORE DEPERSSIVE SITUATION. THE ENTIRE PROGRAM, REALLY NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED BY THE VETERANS ADMINISTRATION FOR IMPROPER TREATMENT OF VETS. WHAT ARE OUR VETERANS REALLY GETTING FOR THEIR SERVICE AND MONEY. ๐Ÿ˜ซ๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿคฌ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ค๐Ÿ˜ฅ๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜ฏ
