This place was shut down for forcing youth to work as demolition workers, while paying them below minimum wage. one of the youth they forced to do this type of work had a broken back and they were threatened with punishments if they didn’t do the assigned work. The take Youth’s belongings when they enter, placing them on “probation”, despite if they have a clear record or not. They don’t return valuables, either stating that the Youth didn’t earn them or that they “lost them”. Otherwise, they make the youth earn back their clothes, books, and personal items as rewards. They additionally mismanage funds given by the government, rarely spending money on the children and getting food from local food banks. Overall inhumane treatment of children, and again, DSS forced them to shut down for child endangerment and financial mismanagement. Terrible place

Careful...This non-profit was being reviewed by the state for being out of compliance with NC state regulations. Despite their attempts to cover up their inconsistencies, an evaluation by the state verified the discrepancies: forcing them to temporarily close. Current status: Unknown
