My husband stays there for about 25 days and will be discharged tomorrow. I like the admission team members, They manage this facility very good, if something happens to patients, they react very quickly , entire staffs are very professional and helpful, from director of nurses, CNA, physical therapists, wound care team, housekeepers , social worker, receptionists , nurses, .... they all treat my husband with great respect and take good care of him. Doctor Le comes to see my husband every day, he gave right medications to my husband when he had infection , wound doctor Jacklyn did a great job on my husband's big wound. I thank you Torrey Pines rehab facility for hiring only best people to work here and make patients feel comfortable and not scared.

At this Torrey Pines rehabilitation center I met the most loving and caring professional wound doctor , her name is Jacqueline Walker . Although I got discharged , but I still definitely chose her to be my lifetime would doctor for my Home Health Care .
Also I want to thank all CNA for put up with my behavior, everyone is so patient with me , Primary care doctor Le and Lung doctor ××?( Sorry my wife said she forgot his name ) came to check on me every day. Even the director of nurse JB / hopefully it spells correct ( my wife seems to have difficulty remember people's names ).I overheard he was asking my nurse Am I okay ? He didn't come in ( I understood he didn't want to disturb us while my wife was there with me ) , but I did hear he was asking about my condition outside of my room. I understood why he didn't come in, Because every one knew my wife came to see me every day as soon as door opened for visitors ?, His genuine caring tones touched my heart deeply, What A great director of nurse , By the way, there are two CNA I like most , one is Barney and the other one is Jonhney , both love their jobs so so much , you can tell they really care about their patients, they even prayed for me, Nurse Arlene was my weekday daytime nurse, She is great and knowledgeable , always remembering everything things and giving patients medications on time. There are so many people to thank for, If I ever need to go to rehabilitation center in the future, I definitely will chose Torrey Pines rehabilitation facility again . They are the best of the best. No other rehabilitation centers or skilled nursing facilities can compete with them. Thank you and God bless you all .

I would've preferred to give negative stars. Although my father never complained about the facility, my experience with them was disappointing. When my father passed I received a phone call that lasted maybe 30 seconds with a lady that was so nonchalant and couldn't give me an exact reason as to why he passed. I called back a day or so later and the manager couldn't tell me what exactly happened bc she wasn't there that morning and was told the social worker was in a meeting and would call me back. Never heard from him ever. (I live in VA) I finally found out from the funeral home what happened. I flew out to Las Vegas to pick up his remains and went by Torrey pines to pick up his belongings . The front desk girl seemed annoyed and the air freshener was so strong you had to cover your nose. The roof was leaking everywhere with towels all over the floors. I noticed the name tag of the social worker who was wearing pajamas pants . I was shocked at the with the whole situation and condition of this facility. It was like a place for misfits who were just there to die. It was heartbreaking to sit on there and think that he was probably just ignored. The people that helped load his belongings were nice of course. But the kicker to to this whole thing is after getting my father's phone I looked at his call log and he had called the facility number at 5am the morning he died. Probably calling for help with no answer. He was also a veteran. This place should be shut down.

Where to start… nurse to patient ratio is 1 nurse to 40 patient, it produces poor quality of care. If you hate your loved ones make sure you bring them here so they’ll be drugged up until they pass away. They will attract homeless patients with a smoking area. Who goes to rehab and smokes? Homeless people that will eventually get dumped after their medicare days runs out. Management will claim “budget cuts” but drive luxury cars, wear designer clothes and regularly go on luxurious vacations. Every patient there has mental problems and there is no psych help at all. Staff are regularly assaulted and other patients are also assaulted almost everyday. (No exaggeration.)

This facility took my mother-in-law, caused a wound in her leg. She got infected with MRSA and died. To add insult to injury someone at the facility stole her brand new phone. Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy.

The worst place I ever.. Dirty smell as soon as you walk in. They don't care about the patients. They leave the patients that can't walk or use the bathroom by themselves wet and dirty all day and night. Don't send your loved ones here, if they complain too much they will drug them to make them sleep.
