My dad tried sending me here after I graduated from my old high school Miller CTC and I was pretty upset and annoyed because I didn’t want to come here and I wanted to get in into their nexus program but they told my dad that I have a brain that’s above an average of 10th grader, which wasn’t nice And I had no one to talk to. I was around a group of low functioning people and. they Don’t know how to treat their disabled clients and honestly I’m so thankful I never went to this program. I have friends that are doing this program and I’m glad that they like it if you have someone. Who is on a disability they are too similar to LAUSD which is annoying, and I think Tierra needs to do better treating their disabled clients it’s too low functioning there I highly recommend to not send them here. You feel guilty if you did.

I used to come to this program but not anymore how I had been taken advantage of my skills by my own peers and how I had a mental breakdown and left this foundation for a good reason just for the sake of my mental health. I had been working like a slave as a free labor, but trust me this foundation is never good.

I don't know much about this foundation but I didn't have a good first impression nor experience. I met with Ana A. today to discuss the services that they offer for adults with developmental disabilities and it was a waste of my time. What's frustrating is the fact that a lot of what Ana discussed could've been communicated over the phone. The main issue is that Ana spoke about some of the services that they offered but left out a few important details till the end of the meeting. Not aware of the services schedule and availability, I agreed to allow my adult brother to take an school assessment and waited to only be told that they couldn't accommodate my brother because he needed to do the program M-F which is truly overwhelming for someone like him if he's going to school and working part-time. The issue is NOT the fact that they didn't have flexibility, but the fact that the worker didn't communicate this info from the beginning. How do I expect this foundation to teach my brother communication when I can't get that from the worker? And, she downplayed the fact that she didn't communicate and said I'm sorry you can't get the program that you would like. No, it's frustrating that I wasted my time and I have to go back to apply for a new vendor when I was not aware that this was a M-F program from the start of the meeting and after taking an assessment. Especially when I made it very clear of our situation. Thanks Tierra De Sol, moving on.....

Listen up!! The special adults work like slaves here🤦‍♀️, you go you see them cleaning their cars, access buses, rooms, etc. Very inconsiderate about their opinions and feelings, I mean don't you wanna take your special to child to a foundation or place where they feel happy or at home or something that is very beneficial for them where they can learn and grow? Not here, I mean unless you're just trying to have the special adult occupied or out of your way then this is the place for you. But I want my special child to learn not be their slaves. They never have any days off, it seems like they just want to keep these special adults occupied with something useless to do. I understand that some of these Special adults can be hard to control but I guess you just need patience with them, no patience at all here. I rather travel my a** to find another foundation.

Fantastic famers market on Saturdays. Very chilling and tons of tables and chairs in the shade.
Also it is rare to see so many approachable event organizers, unlike most of farmers markets

So glad to find a "seafood" stand. I didn't have to go to Vons.

I visited Three Fold Village which shares this facility. A Waldorf School for those that homeschool their children part-time.
