My first time shopping here. Staff was extremely pleasant. Prices vary on things some may seem high others reasonable. I came strictly to find decor for my pop-up event. I'm looking forward to using the baskets for my theme. A big selection of clothing and shoes. Overall I'm glad I checked it out.

Very nice thrift store, carries clothing, furniture, glassware trinkets. Carries wide variety of Holiday decorations for each holiday. Monday & Thursdays 50% off days which is great. Manager Maria and her staff work hard keeping store clean and items priced and they all are very friendly and helpful.

People that shop here come to get good deals on cloths / jackets for work 'most are in a fix Income
Prices can be as much as walmart
Way ridiculous ! Even the Bay Area are way cheaper
'Sometimes I see stuff and ask I'm I at a walmart
Lower your prices !!!! Other wise you will eventually lose customers and it would force your store to go out of business

UPDATE: Got busted by the coupon police yet again and I have to say, the girl working on 2/9/2025 was one of the rudest I have dealt with. Keep in mind, the first thing I do when I go into this store is get my coupons pre-approved, and even though I got my coupons pre-approved, I was told by the girl at the counter (not the one that actually pre-approved my coupons, she went to lunch) that she wasn't sure if I could use both my 75 off and my 50 off coupon and that she did not want to get fired. I told her that every time we go into the store, they change the rules. She replied, " I have never seen you in my life, lady". After agreeing that we could do two different transactions in order to get around the "I-don't-know-if-you-can-use-both-coupons" pitfall, it turned out that, guess what, you can actually use two coupons. The transaction culminated in her actually throwing my credit card at me. Not hurling it at me, but basically throwing it on the counter, in my direction.

I feel like you should be more concerned that you would get fired for a) not having basic knowledge of store policies and/or b) being exceedingly rude for no reason to your customers. In the greater scheme of things, maybe the misappropriation of a coupon is not as agregious of a misstep as either of the above.

The whole coupon thing is complicated and they are always, as I stated above, changing the rules and this is why I never get my hopes up and I always get a pre-approval before I even start shopping because you never know when they are going to flat out find some way to deny your coupons. I feel like this is a thing and I can tell you for damn sure that the guy behind us in line during the most recent coupon controversy (there have been too many to count, over the years) was panicking as he was worried about whether or not he would get to use his coupons.

If you go in on a Monday or Thurs, they will give you a 50% coupon with a date stamp that is completely random--it might expire in a few weeks, or in a few days. On Tues, Wed, Fri, or Sat, you can earn a 75% off coupon if you spend at least $40, though once I was denied a coupon and told I had to spend at least $60. We live about 50 miles away, so we actually have to go in twice to get the coupons we need so we can come in on a Sunday and fill our cart.

We shop at Thrift Centers not just in Madera, but also in Merced, Santa Maria, Bakersfield, and Fresno and have done as much for more than the last five years. This store is the only store I ever have a problem with both their policies and the employees.

I continue to shop here because I find good stuff. And I am fine jumping through their hoops, but their hoops are always moving around and changing and shifting. It is all very unpleasant and it really does not need to be.

I have shopped here for over 20 years! The original store burned down years ago. That was the place to shop!! This store should be ashamed of themselves! Prices so high! This is a THRIFT STORE!!!!! Items are donated! I have a lot of experience and a lot of knowledge as far as pricing goes!! Their prices are a true joke!! They don't know what they're doing! This isn't Macy's or Gottschalk's...So so so disappointed!!

Everything is up charged past their value. I saw a small cheap bag of kitty litter selling for $8.99. Don’t waste your time or money here.
