Both my daughter and I see therapists at Three Rivers Counseling, and I could not be happier with our experience! I have had a long time issue with insomnia and my PCP recommended and referred me to have Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) in order to deal with and improve the condition.

I am very grateful I took her advice. My therapist has been instrumental in teaching me how to change my thoughts thereby changing my behavior.

Oftentimes, I became so stressed when it was time for me to go to bed.

I stressed because I worried I wouldn't be able to sleep.

That meant I would struggle with getting done what needed to be done and have it done on time the next day.

I had terrible self talk. The tape in my head incessantly played negative thoughts and that would only make me more stressed.

My therapist has been a Godsend. She has been as patient as a monk with me. She has shown me how I can use my thoughts to impact my behavior thereby changing my outcome to something more desirable.

My only regret is not doing therapy sooner.

I have enjoyed exploring the counseling experience and the ability to talk to somebody. In particular, Taylore has been great and listens well. She takes good notes and remembers things that I have brought up, am happy to have her as my counselor at TRC. Great times.

My experience is a safe space where I can go be honest. Honest with myself. Honest about what I really hope to achieve. Honest about the fact that it takes work. Three rivers is one of the most accommodating and professional places you can go to for meaningful therapy. I find their office and staff to be extremely responsive and helpful, as well as their therapists. I’d recommend this to be someone’s first pick when it comes to dealing with mental health. ❤️ They truly understand how to make connections with their client, I’ve seen Jake Barlow who is awesome and Elizabeth now. Their staff is amazing and they make sure that you’re taken care of and always accommodate you.
