The Tides Wharf restaurant has spectacular views of Bodega Bay. We enjoyed a tranquil dining experience indulging in sautéed scallops and pasta pescatora. The next morning we returned for pastries and coffee. One of the unique pastries we tried was Sfoglaitelle. Yum!

Atmosphere a solid 4, very nice, beautiful view. The clam chowder was very good, calamari grande was okay, little chewy. My server was less than good. Wasn't very personable. I asked for a salad with ranch with my meal. He even repeated and asked if it was ranch I wanted. He brought my chowder, then meal, no salad. When he finally came back to my table, he asked how everything was and I said okay, just please don't charge me for the salad. He said "no problem". Never an apology. Just not a good experience with him. I would try something else there again, but a different waiter.

Atmosphere was AAAAHMAZING!!! Can't beat the view but the service was not good, understand it's the off-season but I witnessed tables around me with exceptional service. I was expecting much better food, oysters were fantastic but the cocktail sauce was bleh. Also had the crabcakes and expected better, flavor was flat. Definitely worth it for the views and atmosphere.

Apparently I didn’t order the same as everyone else because the food had no flavor whatsoever.
Ordered:
-clam chowder (tasted plain)
-Fried calamari (tasted plain, needed any seasoning without having to disguise it with sauces. Decent fried texture)
-Fish n chips (the fish tasted over fried and with plain batter. Fries needed salt)
This has been on my list forever so we went here first, very disappointing. I wish I could’ve saved that $70 and took my money elsewhere.
Staff was really nice and the views are beautiful, the food is just tasteless.

I come to the Tides Wharf & Restaurant at least one to two times a year when I'm in Bodega Bay. The service is pretty good when the restaurant is not too busy. It is the same as the restaurant's to-go order counter or the market side of the store. The restaurant is nice-looking, right next to the bay with a view. I usually got the clam chowder to go. There are better choices in Bodega Bay, but the Tides Wharf & Restaurant is the most convenient and less crowded in the area.

The dinner menu was really good, but the breakfast was a bit disappointing. The view was breathtaking. It was difficult to get the staff’s attention though.

We had dinner on Mother’s Day. We didn’t have reservations, but we did get seated a at a pretty table by the water within30 minutes. Our server was unfortunately not personable, too abrupt, and did y pay any attention to timing the meal dirty dishes left on the table, 2nd glass of wine or dessert never offered. We felt rushed at fast food pace with fine dining prices. Maybe it was just an off time because of the holiday. In fairness, the fish was fresh and very nicely cooked. The shrimp Louis salad was cold and fresh. I would go back!
