I've been going to this location for years but prices have gotten ridiculous lately. I'm sure the overall prices of things like shirts/pants has been set by corporate Salvation Army, but the knickknacks are even more over priced. I happened to meet the lady who was currently pricing the items the other day. While she might be friendly, her price point value for items are completely off.
I included some of my favorite overpriced items
- generic brand tissues for $3.99 (you can get a *case* of 12 boxes for $14 at sam's club - or you can buy a box of Kleenex for a dollar less).
- a single shell $9.99 (yes this particular shell is kinda neat, but you can buy an entire *bag* of shells at Michael's for half the price. there were also more boring, basic shells, also priced the same)
- neat masks $11.99 (while normally I probably would have said this might be an acceptable price - I bought this exact same mask from a different Salvation Army location 1 year prior for $1.99. You can google "Philippines dragon mask" and find plenty of these tourist souvenirs that are done with better detail and larger for just a few dollars more)
These are DONATED items, aka. they were given for FREE. Why is SA going to charge as much, if not MORE than retail stores brand new? I thought Salvation Army was about helping to support those that had less... shame.

What can I say about this place? Everything positive of course. Tiffany and Vanessa are an Amazing team. Not only am I treated nicely every time but they help me with any question or concerns I may have. Gregory and Chase are awesome. These guys are always in a great mood which make shopping so much better. The whole staff adds a great level of professionalism and respect to all customers. I really enjoy going here because the prices are decent and there's always a great sale or discount on items. Now if your unsure about where to shop, you can't go wrong with this location..The staff takes PRIDE in this store. The isle are clean and the store is organized very well. This is my store of choice. Kudos to Tiffany, Vanessa, Gregory and Chase... I always enjoy my visit when I see this wonderful staff working...And just for the record I don't know everyones name but they are all great as a TEAM.....

Big store. Well organized. Lots of clothing. Although I did not go for that. I was looking for household stuff. There were plenty of dishes. I did not see much silverware. And few other household stuff of value. The dish find was great. I bought some Japanese made plates. Good quality. My entire expenditure was $50. I found one nice decorative pillow which was discounted that day for $1.50.

Very rude and disrespectful employees. Where do I go about to make a report? They're very racial and disrespectfully annoyingly eerite to selective customers who are simply shopping. Attitude to the fullest

The manager is lovely. They have such compassion. In a quick move I got rid of alot of my Pyrex from decades ago. I thought my stuff was going into storage. I'm a senior and it was my mom's stuff. It is like they wre waiting for me. Same time period Pyrex. Even that changes. I got my history back and I've started to cook again and I needed it. What a blessing. A very put together store. Clean, orderly, and parking.

Today I made 2 truck runs the the San Diego store 6875 El Cajon Blvd. I met Tiffany, the Store Manger, and she and her team were great. They unloaded my truck, were professional, and very courteous.

Extremely rude experience. I waited in line not saying a peep while the slowest cashier in the world went through three people. Another cashier opened up in this time but did not call the people who were next in line but rather just help the people who ran up to him. By the time I got up to the counter with my one item, this large man said he had to go in the back room and I'd have to go to the next person. I swear I left my item and walked out. They should teach these cashiers some common decency and courtesy.
