As a Christian organization, I was really disheartened to enter such a beautiful establishment only to be met with such an unpleasant, unprofessional receptionist. Her "cold" demeanor and lack of loving support in a crisis situation left me feeling even more defeated upon my departure. Would not recommend.

The Gina lady tgat answers phone is extremely rude, ask to speak with someone else, she definitely shouldn't be working at a place that helps people. If management reads this, please speak with her about her customer service skills. People that call salvation for help, I'm guaranteeing you are already having a bad day, and I'm betting her lack of people skills makes them feel bad. I guess she thinks people enjoy asking for help.

I love it there it's my second home I am a junior soldier there the new core officer is a amazing . The salvation army of Henderson paid half of what it cost to go to camp Walter Johnson's music and arts conservatory for me it's just an amazing place to be and I loved it there so much

Today went salvation try get some food thanksgiving a mis communication when call last week. I didn't now about list. Ms Foster doesn't answer the phone when you call receptionist. She lied said food is not given away at the salvation location in Henderson NC. My friend noticed box of food in shopping cart after ms Foster said no food available here. Ms Foster doesn't care about people or being receptionist. What the haile is going on?

Before I moved to NC I didn't know that the Salvation Army was anything more than a thrift store. I had been shopping at their store for years. I was pleasantly surprised when I attended a sermon. I like to hear a good sermon that is applicable to everyone; I don't like it or find it very helpful when the sermon is read word for word right out of the good book. The preacher and his wife are great people who really care about their parishioners. When my grandmother was sick he visited her in the hospital and at home. They brought food for the family and were there for all of us. When she passed away a few months ago they prepared a meal for the family before the funeral. You couldn't ask for a better congregation to belong too. The Salvation Army does so much for the community. They help anyone and everyone. If you're looking for a church to belong to that will treat you like family then you should check out the Salvation Army.

Very disappointed that they turned away great useable furniture. One chair had a very small hole in the fabric that I didn't notice until we arrived and the other was a lazy boy chair with a few stains on the back of chair, NO stains on the front or sides. The cushions were is good shape, sturdy, supportive. If I had known they wouldn't take them I would have listed them on Craigslist for someone who wanted them. Unbelievable considering the condition of junk in their store. If they were ripped or worn out I would not have taken them. They almost turned away side tables b/c of some dust. Unbelievable!!! The main helper was rude and had a cigarette hanging out his mouth The entire time. I won't be supporting Salvation Army but will take my donations further to Goodwill who has ALWAYS been appreciative of my donations.
