I dropped off my angel tree gifts and enjoyed taking to the gentleman at the front desk. He was very pleasant and thanked me for taking part in the angel tree project. He assured me the child would receive the gifts i brought for him.

Thanks to the lady at the door, who says she's the Director, for turning us away with our trunk full of coats and bag of sneakers. We went around the corner and found a church group collecting coats, shoes, etc and we able to drop our blessings off right to some neighbors. Thank you God for directing us to the RIGHT PLACE!!

Called for the Angel Program and it was a waste of time. I just gained custody of my grandson and his school gave me this link on Dojo. By the time you receive these posts, they're usually expired. What resources do a legal guardian have in Winston Salem? His dad passed away on September 16, 2022. Not only I'm I having a hard time with MY emotions, but I have to keep it together for his two sons. Life is tough with a kid who's mom abandoned him and his dad gone. But I give all the glory to God. I'm taking baby steps with Khi, and thanking God for the tools and bond I am creating with him. But blessed Salvation army and continue your good works. That post was on a day I was feeling hopeless. But it gets greater later.😁

Dropped off some extra gifts for our Senior Angel that were left behind from Christmas. Did you know that there are Senior as well as Children Angels? We enjoyed buying for our Senior Angels and wrapping their gifts and delivering them too. A lovely program.

Very nasty. Staff is very rude. I posted pics of the place. It's hideous. The staff treat u like this is a form of punishment. If u 5 minutes late they won't feed your children, will literally watch them starve. They take advantage of those really in need. Those of us who are employed are still able to sustain and help those who are not. This place is terrible. I'm barely here and I'm respectful. This is my first time falling this low. And it's the worst experience ever. The staff makes sure of that.

They give you a place to sleep, eat which their food is ok. The people there are nice. The beds are not to comfortably but you got a place to lay your head at night and warm place with friends that are in the situation that you are in they don't judge you they care bout you you think they don't but i think that they do. Would not recommend to anyone as a shelter to help you work toward housing. The "social worker" doesn't do anything she's supposed to,the food is usually old and gross if not just a sandwich and your not allowed to bring in your own food. They continually caused me to leave early with a baby because they would threaten my place in the shelter if my daughter woke after 6am and I needed to feed her. No heat or air or even vents in the rooms had to pay for my own heater which if your homeless you really can't afford that and don't get me started on how disgusting of a person the director is
