Attended a fund raising event at this lodge. Building is older but seems maintained. Hall was large but fairly plan. Restrooms clean and well maintained. Large parking lot with plenty of spaces. Area is largely agricultural so was a pleasant drive even though it is just blocks off of Highway 99.

My wife and I are lifetime members of the Moose fraternal organization and being so we visit Moose Lodge in New Towns. Very enjoyable. Moose members are like family members and good friends. The Lady Social Quarters associate( bar tender) made Clam Chowder from scratch. We had a bowl of it for $4. All funds go to Moose charity.

The New Years Eve event was a disaster.
Absolutely no organization.
For the $60 per ticket price they charged, you would think that it would have been a lot better run.
The dinner was supposed to be steak and chicken with sides and dinner rolls.
Right before dinner, they announced it would be prime rib and chicken.
Instead of serving the tables, they ran the dinner service almost like a buffet line, but you had to wait for your table number to be called.
To top it off, they were serving both prime rib and chicken, but by the time our table got called, they had changed it to prime rib or chicken.
Well, this was a point worth arguing because they, in my opinion, did not have the right to change the choice midstream, especially since several tables had already received both.
I won, of course.
The meal was horrendous.
Prime rib and chicken were way under cooked, and to boot, they weren't even served hot.
The green beans were supposed to be served al dente. Al dente is cooked but still firm. These weren't even close.
It was more like they were placed in the pann, warmed, then served, not cooked.
The mushroom mix was about the only part of the dinner that was actually prepared correctly.
The band was halfway decent.
With the older crowd, mostly mid 60's and above, they played a lot of the 70's type music that most of us grew up on.
They sounded pretty good but did manage to utterly destroy several songs.
The drinks at the bar were way overpriced.
They were charging the same price for the drinks that they would normally charge during regular business, but serving the drinks in smaller plastic cups with no adjustment in pricing.
Glass was completely out of the question for the party. Bottom line, they made more money serving smaller drinks than normal.
Shame on them!
Finally, midnight and count down.
Toasted with probably the cheapest champagne they could find. I wouldn't serve that cheap stuff to my worst friend.
The only thing the whole experience had going that was positive was the joyful ambiance of the crowd in anticipation of the new year.
But had the staff chose to listen, they would have heard a lot of the negative feedback coming from their guests as to the overall dining experience. There were a lot of people that were unhappy.
Again, for $60 a ticket, it should have been handled a 100 times better.

They were extremely rude and treated us horribly, they were unhappy they had to use the smaller side for a members birthday event. We booked our event way in advance and I PAID so no reason to be rude. We also couldn’t get the hall the night prior to decorate. We had to go the morning of which is such a rush. I was told “ I apologize that you FELT you were treated rudely” We WERE treated rudely, not FELT.

Unprofessional, lack of communication, overbooked the set up the night before and only gave us a 2 hour time frame to set up. We had a balloon set up that was getting picked up the day after in the am, they took it upon themselves to remove it outside and stored the flowers elsewhere. It’s supposed to rain today, could have damaged the backdrop. They literally hid the flowers!! No communication with us, could have called to let us know. HORRIBLE!! 0/5 stars!

Very tasty BBQ steak, too sweet coleslaw and plain old pork and beans. Service was good and price was right. Karrioke singing in the bar not good unless you've had too much to drink.
