My family and I were in Boone to get a Christmas Tree and we decided it was time to get something to eat before returning home. After a quick Google my eldest daughter decided on The Local.
We arrived at about 2pm and the place was packed. We were informed that it would be about an hour’s wait and that we could wait in the enclosed patio. The enclosure is a vinyl see-through curtain but it turned out to be warm and comfortable. As it turned out, our wait was and hour and after we received the text notice, we were seated promptly.
After a quick check of the online menu, I ordered the Korean Pork BBQ Tacos and my wife ordered the Pork Loin. Both our meals were delicious. Other faves at the table included the Truffle Fries and the Fish and Chips.
Overall our visit to The Local was a success. Everyone enjoyed their meals, the service was prompt and attentive without being too much and the prices reasonable.

The food was delicious and I would absolutely recommend to anyone! I got the pork loin and it came with grilled asparagus, grits, and a red wine sauce. The server, Michael, was absolutely wonderful and genuinely one of the most personable servers I’ve ever had! So so sweet and attentive and definitely deserves a raise! Would absolutely recommend the food and service!!!

Food and service was perfect. The grilled pork ribeye was the best pork loin I’ve ever eaten. A must try. The Thai Beef Tidbits appetizer was also a must try. Both were excellent. Only downside to this restaurant is no convenient parking.

Our meal was delicious and portions were solid. Cool building. Parking is tough. Wish the wings were crispier, but they were still good. My first beer wasn't exactly what I ordered, but I still drank it. Second beer was on point. Polite and attentive service. We'd go back.

Loved the Thai Beef Tips. You must get this app. Very unique

The Blackened Goat was superb as well. Girlfriend got the Fig and bacon which was also really good.

Jackson, our server, was super timely, helpful, and precise. Dylan stopped by just to say hi. Honest hard working people.

The atmosphere was perfect, not too loud even for a Friday night.

Jonah was amazing!!! The food was the literally some of the best we’ve ever had and def the best in the Boone area, we recommend the burgers and the Brazilian steak ❤️❤️❤️
