Friends and I have stayed at this historical mansion 3 times now and will again. It’s just close enough to downtown to be convenient to all Mobile has to offer (it seems like something’s going on every night which it what makes Mobile special) and coming from Los Angeles where we don’t have a walking, strolling city, well, that’s why we go. The property at the Driskell is a sanctuary with grounds to relax and a killer pool. The suites are all the size of small apartments with footed tubs and showers, mini-fridges and coffee makers…really everything you find in finer hotels but without the room service, expense, crowds and staff underfoot. Every time we’ve been it feels new and fresh; both the Driskell and the town. Great new restaurants popping up. Order delivery or going out, we’ve enjoyed mixing it up. I’d elaborate but look at their photos. The mansion is experiential, memorable and photo-worthy. Looking forward to updating this after our next visit which can’t happen soon enough and hope to give it 5 stars again (something I don’t think I’ve done before). Can’t think of anything not to love about it!

Fabulous addition to the Midtown area! Exquisitely furnished and decorated inside and out. Welcoming and relaxing vibes throughout the property. The pool has a fun atmosphere that makes you feel as if you’ve transported to a resort location.The hosts are very attentive and constantly thinking of new and innovative ways to make your stay enjoyable. I will definitely be returning!

10/10 recommend. Absolutely perfect for a relaxing day in and wonderful for a night out. It is located in the heart of Mobile where it is close to the city where the night life and a peaceful afternoon is . Close to many of the restaurants. Perfect for Mardi Gras when the parade route is a short walk away. It is a beautiful historic home. Even your staycation feels like you are a hundreds of miles away from home.

The Driskell is a MUST stop for anyone visiting Mobile. The rooms are spectacular and unique (if you're looking to stay) or just book a day and go poolside.

Everyone involved is so lovely, and you'll certainly leave with new friends.

Very clean and spacious place inside and out. All of the hard work and dedication that was put into this place really makes it stand out. The pool is nice quiet area to relax and get some sun and the host is phenomenal.
