Three weeks ago, I was in dire need of a daycare for my one-year-old. I called and asked Children’s Courtyard for the requirements for their toddler class. The requirements they provided for my daughter were one nap, fully walking, and able to eat and drink by herself. My daughter has been hitting those requirements for the past month. I was very grateful when they told me that had availability.
Two weeks ago, was my daughter’s first day of daycare! I was excited because Children’s Courtyard was highly recommended by our friends and family. I had camera access to see her, the teachers were great at sending both updates and pictures.
However, before my daughter’s first day (Monday) had ended, the director called me to let me know that my daughter was not hitting some of the toddler class’s "developmental milestones". We requested the director to allow us to keep her in the class through the week as we had paid for the week. My daughter had no other options as their infant class was at capacity.
My husband and I had acknowledged that her first day had been difficult for her. First days are always hard. However, my husband and I were very impressed when we noticed how well she acclimated to her class by Days 2, 3, and 4. She was performing all the required toddler class’s milestones and enjoying her time at Children’s Daycare.
On Day 5 (Friday), my daughter had a caught a cold and we had to call in sick. During the call, the director had told us she had noted improvements and was going to speak to the teachers for an update. The director told us she would then call us during lunch time with her decision but never called.
When I went to drop off my daughter on the following Monday, I was notified that my daughter’s membership was put on pause. This decision was not conveyed in a timely, professional manner to me. As a result, both my husband’s and my schedules were upended for the week due to not having any daycare. My husband and I had to make unfortunate last-minute decisions to cancel site visits and meetings, making us look quite unprofessional.
Lastly, we were told by Children’s Courtyard that they had lost my daughter’s confidential physician report which was given to them just 72 hours prior. My experience with Children’s Courtyard has not been wholesome. They do not appear to be living up their motto, “Caring is Our Community Service”. It feels as though Children’s Courtyard is uncaring and dishonest to working mothers and fathers.
It has been a fully week since my daughter’s last day at Children’s Courtyard and we have still not received a phone call despite requesting a conversation with them many times.

My child thrived at CC Morgan Hill. The caretakers took the time to really get to know him and he enjoyed the summer program as well as time he spent there during the school year. The administrators were always available to discuss any questions that we had.

When I first toured this school I was very excited about the program and all the activities that were described.

The last 6 months have been such a disappointment. The director is never there, the assistant director can make a decision on her own. The activities planned for summer (which I paid extra for) have been poorly executed and has not happened at all.

Recently "corporate" has removed water bottles from the class rooms, and supplied Brita water pitchers that are always empty (the teachers have more important things to work on). The forecast for this week is 100+ and the kids can't bring water to school.

Today (7/25/16) "corporate has removed the refrigerators from the classrooms, so now the kids won't have cold water from the empty Brita water pitchers

I was also told the activities planned for this week have been replaced with movies in the class rooms.

Such a huge disappointment, I will NEVER recommend this school to anyone, which is sad, because there are some really GREAT teachers there that do not get the proper recognition they should.

The only reason I am not taking my son out of this school is because he loves his 2 teachers, and his last day is 8/12/16

They are caring and loving with the children. Discipline is not harsh but gentle time out and explaining why we can't do certain things.
Teaching the basics and respect for others. Very diverse group.

They’re very poor in education and programs!
If your kids are below 2.5 you’ll find there really safe and clean but when it comes to education they’re not even average!
