My family threw me a bridal tea at Sugar Magnolia and I could not have had a better more memorable time! They were extremely conscious to let us do our own thing but also had a great structure to make everything go timely and smoothly. They set everything up so cute and secluded from the rest of the restaurant to give such a sweet and cozy feel! The food was delicious, everyone was thrilled. I am actually gluten free so did not expect many options for myself but I was blown away by the quality of desserts and gluten free options that they had. They consistently asked if we needed anything, provided a trash bag for gift trash, and really catered to every last detail. They were all so kind and courteous. Today was a day I will remember for a long time and it genuinely has a lot to do with the great staff and quality experience at Sugar Magnolia.

I’ve been here 3 times and it’s been really delicious food and drinks! The tea experience isn’t the cheapest but it’s worth it! They have cute lil tables off in the corner; perfect for a good chat with a friend!

I have FINALLY found a tea service that I can wholeheartedly say was wonderful! ☕️ I've been looking far and wide for cafes that served afternoon tea. Delicious food (I personally need the recipe for the sandwiches I had that day🥹🙌🏿), a good mix of desserts, and soothing tea to boot. I had gone for a solo date and had such a great time. My servers were sweet 😊 and made sure I was attended to. I will be making my next reservation in the near future! Thank you!🩵✨️

A long time favorite! Fresh, delicious food, great atmosphere, friendly staff! Our go-to is the chicken salad sandwich on croissant and side salad w/sweet onion dressing, but we’ve enjoyed every menu item we’ve tried!

Did tea for a friend’s birthday and it was so special! The three tier tray was full of delicious things! Especially loved the caprese sandwich and egg salad. The tea desserts including the clotted cream and jam, cakes, and truffles were amazing. It’s such a charming place where they use vintage plates many donated to them! The owner and staff were so friendly and fun!!!! Definitely going back.

My husband and I enjoyed lunch here. You order at the counter and are given a number for your table. We only waited about 5 minutes for our food to be delivered. I got the egg salad sandwich and my husband got a tuna salad sandwich. Both were served a croissant that was warm and flaky. Very good! We also had a salad that was very fresh with a light dressing that supported but did not drown out the flavor of the greens. You should definitely give this cafe a try! The bathrooms were clean. There are also a few handmade items for sale.

My husband and I went for Afternoon Tea and everything was prefect from the food to the setting. As native New Yorkers living in norther VA, what we didn't want was a place that we had to get all dressed up only to have the same types of tea and food as we've had many times in NY and DC and we were not disappointed. The other highlight was Abby who talked about the tea service and made sure we were happy and didn't need anything else - she was a wonderful addition to a perfect 'experience' my husband and I were looking for...
