I don't know where to begin. This place was a godsend to us. My daughter gave birth 4 weeks early, and her son was in the NICU. She went into panic mode when she was told she would be discharged without her son. We live just at an hour from Cape Fear Hospital. We were told about the Stanton House and filled out the paperwork. We were contacted within an hour to come get our room keys. It was only a 3-5 minute drive to the hospital and about a 15-minute walk. I truly don't know how we would have gotten through this if we would have had to drive the hour to and from home. When I told my daughter we would be staying that close, she cried tears of joy. The ladies that work there were as kind as could be and made us feel right at home. The house was clean, and they offered a furnished kitchen with food and beverages. The rooms have sinks and mini fridges. We honestly don't know what we would have done if it wasn't for the Stanton Hospitality House. You really came through for us in our time of need. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts 💕. We heard people talking at the hospital that you will be permanently closing the end of July 2024. We truly hope this isn't happening. You really came through for us and so many others. It would be a huge loss to all the families in need of a place to stay while their loved ones are hospitalized. If there is anything we can do to help you remain open, please let us know because we are forever grateful for what you did for us. Thank you for being there for us!!

This place and the people who run it are a blessing. With a newborn in the hospital, not having to worry about a place to stay really lifted a large burden from our shoulders. The staff is kind and caring, the facility is clean and well kept, not to mention stocked with everything from snacks to shampoo for guests who may not have it. My family and I will never forget the warm welcome or help that we received.

This is a long overdose review. I don't know where to begin. Twelve years ago my family received a call telling us to come to NC. The Dr stated that we need to come ASAP because my brother was admitted on life support and they didn't feel he had long. Seems GOD wasn't ready for him yet. After so many family members arrived Cape Fear Hospital was kind enough to put us in Stanton House. I can't say enough about the kindness, love and empathy we felt from these men and women. The house was clean, well equipped and very large. For weeks my brother hung on and Stanton House never gave us a time limit or worried our family with any issues. We as a family couldn't thank them enough. You took a burden off the family that only someone going through it could understand. From the bottom of our hearts please accept our long overdue appreciation for EVERYTHING you all have done in making our loss a little easier.

I live a few house down from this hospitality house and it is a pretty well kept home for visitors to stay. It's right behind the Cape Fear Hospital and families come to stay from out of town to visit their love ones in the hospital! It is walking distance, also for the visitors, there is bus stop cross in front of the house! A very safe neighborhood! When friends ask where is a hotel to stay, I tell them to call Stanton house first!

The staff is awesome here, and it's only a couple blocks from the hospital, so if u have a premie like I did and you don't drive this is definitely the place to stay. I recommend this place to everyone!!

My friends are staying there because there new born is in the nuc unit at cape fear hospital till tuesday.they said everyone has been great and it's a very clean and safe place to stay.its run similar to Ronald McDonald House.. I was there the other day and the staff was very sweet and helpful
