I have been going to Mammoth for almost 40 years and I consider this my parish away from my parish. The pastors have always been very nice and the current one Father Jorge is no exception. It is a small and well maintained church with ample parking to match its capacity. There are very nice restroom on your right as you first enter the building. Inside the church it is very beautiful. The pastor here also serves mass in Lee Vining and Bridgeport but still has time for a Saturday evening and Sunday morning Mass in Mammoth Lakes. Father offers confessions right before Mass, just wait outside the confessional at least 15 minutes before mass and either Father will see you or someone will get him. Because the regular parish is so small, most attendees are from out of town, they really count on visitors contributing during collection. The also struggle to keep music and alter servers. Father Jorge has been there for several years now and I love both his sermons and his sense of humor. He will make you feel right at home.

Beautiful, yet simple, Mass and homily. Disappointed still not allowing tongue reception of the Eucharist here - yet the priest does not wear a mask, and shakes hands with everyone after Mass. So I declined reception out of respect for Father’s request. This is why a loss of 1 star. Please at least be consistent with the policy you choose.

Beautiful church. We've been coming to Mammoth since 1978 and have always looked forward to attending mass at St Joseph's. We also like Fr. Roman very much as well.

Friend of mine was the snowboard instructor and got an early call to China to go teach English about 6 years ago so he asked me to go up there and stay to the lease was over and make sure his roommates didn't trash the place so he would get his deposit back and he told the landlord I'll be coming up. And I fell in love with this church, the people, the priest that would make the rounds in that county. I just I felt so at home and at peace while part of the congregation.

Clean, warm holy places, I don't understand why many of catholic church has restrooms located inside of worship place, however this church is so good. I mean restroom is important

Always welcoming to visitors, with Mass times that make this parish welcoming to working folks as well. Masses in English and in Spanish, so check the bulletin for your preference. The new parish hall is lovely and a terrific resource for the parish.

The Father was biblical and personable in his presentation of the Gospel message based on the scripture about the woman with a hemorage. I suppose I especially liked how there was no political correctness snuck in. Jesus's human compassion and Divine power for anyone in need were highlighted.
