I was extremely honored to volunteer with Special Olympics Nevada (SONV), at their Regional Basketball Event at Spring Valley High School. It was my first time volunteering with SONV and I was glad I did.

I was able to assist with setup, the skills competition and the awards ceremony. There were some many amazing, highly energetic and talented athletes who participated. Teen Miss Nevada also attended and assisted with opening ceremonies and awards presentations.

I was able to meet so many wonderful people who truly care about Special Olympics and its development as it continues to create awareness about their organization.

I’ve always had a desire to volunteer and give back to others. In 2024, one of my goals was to increase my volunteer opportunities with organizations that serve our communities while empowering and encouraging our youth.

The Special Olympics Nevada is one such organization that I will definitely be a part of moving forward.
