Great place for your kids and grandkids to learn a sport

I have in the past year enjoyed watching or coaching my son and other kids at the optimist. I have met a lot of new people and faces. The ballpark is trying to put forth the effort to build a better park and atmosphere for the children that play there. There have been a lot of ideas brainstormed that hopefully can help us strive to achieve the goals we want to happen. I hope this continues and that the organization and community will keep in mind that every thing we do is the help our kids be better and not focus on politics and such. My family has volunteered down there some also and we hope to see more parents and leaders of the park get more involved with the program. Concessions is always a big part of the park growing so parents definitely need to take any time they have to volunteer and help. Look at it as each kid benefits from any volunteer that helps because then organizational members can focus more on practices, fundamentals, and making sure each kid gets the best and proper skills to succeed. I hope we can grow as an organization in the future and represent our community as best we can.
