Great little local place. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. Plenty seating. Very family cozy type of vibe. The food is amazing. Consistently good and made fresh to order! Prices are reasonable.

Great food, great service. Pot pie was good, as was Ruben. Good pub pretzels. Good beef au jus dip. However the banana bread pudding was AMAZING.

Update 1 year later. Food and service still on point. Prime rib great. Banana bread pudding remains amazing! Our server was super friendly.

This is one of the best places to go for Fish Fry or any other meal for that matter. The French Onion Soup is very good. They are quick at getting you seated and food brought to the table without making you feel rushed. Someplace Else was way better than the Fish Fry I had last Friday (7/26).

Service was quick. Server was good. Food was really bland...meh. Parts of the very small amount of tomatoes in salad were bad. Gluten Free options a plus. Place didn't have a great atmosphere either. Weird smell inside. Really disappointed. Would rather have no little tomato pieces than spoiled tomatoes in the salad.

I recently visited Someplace Else Restaurant at 1 W Walworth St, in Elkhorn, WI. It's a real nice restaurant that I visited late one night. A little slow on the service at the bar but the beer and sandwich were good.

All 6 guests in my party absolutely LOVED their food. We got pretzels with beer cheese and cheese curds as appetizers, and they were fantastic. I got the Monterrey chicken pita and you would think a simple chicken pita would be kind of “meh”, but I literally could not stop eating it until every last bite was gone.

The server was very friendly, and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. It was quiet when we were there, but the whole town seemed rather quiet. Next time we’re in Elkhorn, we will definitely go back!

Traveling thru the area on business and I always like to find something local (not a chain). This checked all my boxes: local, friendly, cold (local) beer on tap, baseball on the TV, great menu that made ordering one difficult! I chose the chicken pot pie, advertised as a best seller. The crust was flaky and perfectly cooked. The filling was hot with lots of chicken. I had two Spotted Cow beers, ice cold and refreshing. The meal came with a cup of soup, creamy Reuben, that was hot and flavorful. I couldn’t resist the Wisconsin cheese curds and snacked on those while I waited for my entree. All of my food was served hot and fresh with little wait. I sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly and attentive. If I’m back in the area, I will definitely return for the Friday night fish fry!

We ordered French dip sandwiches and French onion soup.

The French dip sandwiches were eatable, but nothing special. The onions on the sandwich were barely grilled, and only a few present.

The French onion soup was missing onions, very few were present. The soup ate more like a watered down broth than a soup. But there was lots of cheese on top of the bread, and baked well in the oven.

The service was excellent, very attentive, refilled waters. Server was upfront about the uncharges, which is nice.
