This is my first experience going to a soup kitchen and boy let me tell you this one does not disappoint whatsoever. The food here is immaculate. It genuinely tastes so great and there is a wide variety of options to choose from. And the cherry on top is that when you're leaving they set you up with a to-go bag full of snacks. Amazing. I 10000% would recommend anyone and everyone to at least try this place out. It's totally worth it!

Amazing folks that love Jesus and feeding God's people. All faiths welcome to volunteer and they always need help and I encourage you to volunteer and help geed the homeless and less fortunate. We cooked pancakes and scrambled eggs and sausage and chicken and made veggie boxes to hand out?❤️

Note this is a review of the staff and not the volunteers or the guest of the soup kitchen. I have volunteered four times now and take great pride and delight in serving people who have food insecurity and they’re always kind and grateful. my problem Rests with the main cook, she treats the volunteers very condescending , rude is constantly exasperated with volunteers despite them not knowing where things go in the kitchen and just overall a negative to what xan ostensibly be a wonderful experience- I’m not sure what the head cooks name is, although I would definitely provide it if I did have it as I would recommend avoiding volunteering here as long as she is in charge. She sat in the kitchen, barking, orders, and bad mouthing and talking negatively to the other staff and volunteers about Shannan who I believe is maybe one of the owners Not sure I think this woman in the back has absolutely no place in a charitable organization that provides food. Kindness to the guests. She doesn’t know how to interact with people. Again, I would never volunteer here again because of the negativity Stress and condescending attitude, friends, and I were looking for places to volunteer during the holidays as a group and this one has been checked off permanently PS on a positive. The gentleman that runs the dining room is a rockstar is kind to the guess but also strong if someone is getting a little out of hand, good for him

This should have been a five star review. But, I have overheard staff or volunteers with some harsh, rude words for how they felt about serving the needy “gimmy-gimmiers”. Such hatred and they’re working around food that can be poisoned or contaminated. This place uses their donations and makes some of the best meals, for free!, and a few are going to ruin the reputation.

It's nostalgic for me. There are usually as many apples and bananas you can take if you can find ones that aren't rotting. Bread is okay tho
