I've gone to the one on 6th a few times gotten DVDs, a few pair of shorts for my boyfriend and gone to the voucher room. I love the people that work there they are very sweet and I don't know why people would give this place such a low review. The only thing that I don't like is that if you're using credit card you have to spend a minimum of $5 before they can charge your card. I like How on Wednesday they have $1 clothes in the back of the store. They also have one day out of the week where Furniture is 30% off. They have different deals throughout the week and I liked it. I also like how they have movies for a $1.50. But overall I would say my experience has been better than I expected.

This is large thrift with an equally large amount of donors, which is located just south of the five points intersection. In the parking lot are two roll off dumpsters, where they throw out the trashy donations. Because they do their best to stock their shelves with high quality items.

When you walk in the door, you see some free groceries that are offered to the needy. Then you see a sign which states what special 50 per cent deal is on each given day of the week. Then to the right is a large area of nice knick knacks and kitchen ware. Next in the center of the room, they've got an abundance of beautiful used furniture. Against the wall are lots of electronic items, such as TVS, stereo equipment, home appliances, vinyl albums, CDs, DVDs, etc. To the west is where they have their more elegant and higher end merchandise, like artwork or collectibles.

To the south end of the store, in the next room is clothing, textile goods and the book area. I've bought a lot of nice things from there through the years. I went in there looking for a vacuum cleaner, because mine had broken. I saw good one for forty dollars, but decided to come in the next day for the senior discount, but it was gone. There was another one and it worked, but it didn't have a price tag, so I asked and they let it go for a measly five dollars. It turned out to be a Hoover Floor Mate, which is very good at washing tile floors. What a huge bargain. I've also bought nice pillows, sheets, sunglasses and DVDS that I like. When you walk out, you see food donations that people are welcome to take two items.

I'm a single father in Vail AZ. I've struggled to keep my son in the vail school district . I've been diagnosed with cancer 3 time's wich made me miss work. I've had shoulder surgery twice and surgery on both knee's because I was beaten half to death by 4 security guards at Tucson medical center for cursing while trying to leave after they refused to treat my girlfriend who had cancer and a softball sized lump in her leg. They beat me ten times worse than George floyd and I didn't break the law or escape from a police car 2 times . It's a fact that if someone is truly choking you- you can't make a sound. You can't cry for mamma! I tried to call out for my 11 year old son but couldn't make a sound because I was being choked. Against all odds I survived the beating. It took 3 surgeries to get me back to work. The government forced me to stay home with my son for a year and that cost me my client's. As a landscaper I've kept Vail beautiful since 2010. I provide a service that nobody else does in Vail because I cater to the elderly. I charge less than half what my competitors charge but I refuse to overcharge people. Unfortunately I'm poor because of my work morals. Since children were allowed to return to school I've missed more work because other kids were sick. Not my child but I had to quarantine anyway- twice in one month. That set me back and I was 2 months behind on rent when I contacted Susan from St. Vincent. She was very nice and had me meet Don and his partner. They came to my house and brought me some food. I was thankyou for that. They needed a statement from my landlord and I got the information they needed. Last week Don wanted to meet me at st. Rita's church. They ganged up on me- twisting my life around so that my situation was my fault they criticized my choice of employment and suggested I get a regular job. I said I won't get hired because I don't have a covid shot- don criticized my choice to not get my shot and I explained a regular job won't pay as much as I'm making now plus I help the elderly with cheap landscaping and handyman services. They asked about my 4 wheel drive truck and why don't I sell it
I said because I need 4 wheel drive to get to work during monsoons. They acted surprised and agitated with me because it was now after the 1st of the month and now I owed 3 months rent when I contacted them 2 weeks prior. Now don says that they could only pay a third of what I need to keep from being evicted and that I would probably get evicted anyway and that if they helped me it would be a waste of money. I fell to my knees crying in the church parking lot. They made me feel very bad about myself. Nobody should be treated like this. Especially not a single father who is just trying to keep his child in a good school and help the elderly in his community ?

I have never been surprised about a charity declining a whole area for donations. Call me surprised and saddened.
