We volunteered in 2021-2022 for their 2022 float. We were on an LA tour. It was absolutely the most fun that we had. We cut roses. The people in this association are so nice, helpful, and fun! It was so much fun to see "our" roses on the float and learn about the whole process. Would love to help again.

Last Saturday night's Legendary Bingo fundraiser was a total fiasco. We have been going for years, but will not be attending again. This was the first time reservations were taken, but there was no announcement ever published about reservations. Doors were to open at 6:30, with many in line by 6:00. We were made to wait in the pouring rain until 7:15, with no explanation of what was going on. My husband, who is in a wheelchair got drenched because an umbrella couldn't cover his legs and his head. There was one woman working the check in table, who should never be given an assignment where she deals with the public. At one point she stood up and screamed, "Silence!! I want silence now!! Everyone just be quiet." Then to add to the terrible situation, those with reservations were allowed to add people to their reservation. This lead most people who didn't have knowledge of the secret reservation option to be turned away. A night that has, in the past, been a fun event, is not worth the hassle and obnoxious behavior, to see if one might possibly be allowed in.

If you or someone you know is wanting to learn the art of float making, absolutely come see these fine folk. They are warm and welcoming. They will teach you everything, and in the end, watching the decorated float glide down the street into the morning light is super satisfying.
