I want to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service provided by Susan, the representative in charge of Transportation. As a patient in need of medical assistance, I relied on the Transportation Department to get to my appointment at a medical facility.

Despite providing all necessary information in a timely manner and receiving confirmation from the Transportation Department, I was left stranded on the day of my appointment. The driver scheduled to pick me up did NOT arrive at the designated time, causing me considerable distress and inconvenience.

As a result, I was forced to arrange for alternative transportation to the medical facility at the last minute, relying on a person who happened to be available. This unexpected disruption not only caused me significant stress, but also made me almost late for my appointment which is unacceptable given the critical nature of my medical needs.

Also, after my medical appointment, I had to once again rely on another person to arrange transportation back home as the representative of the Transportation Department had shown no compassion, mercy, or kindness throughout this stressful ordeal. Not once did this representative take the time to inquire whether I needed assistance in returning home, nor did the department extend any type of an apology or attempt to rectify the situation.

When I expressed my frustration and sought answers as to why the driver had failed to show up, the response was indifferent. This representative did not offer any explanation, but she did request that I provide her with the name of the assigned driver. In response, I reminded the representative that such information should already be accessible to her through the department's records and computer system.

It is my hope and desire that such failures in service delivery are never repeated in the future. Patients relying on your transportation service deserve better treatment and assurance that their needs will be met reliably and with compassion.

My mom goes here for art classes, yoga, counseling. This place is an awesome resource center that advocates for the senior community.

I Love the Shepherds Center. Useful programs and lectures that benefit your health. I play guitar so I took up the Ukelele at the Center so that it would be easy. Well the strings are different but we have an excellent instructor in Allen. Debbie and Lisa are dolls and happy to help the Seniors. 🥰👵👴

Absolutely love this place! You can tell the staff members work very hard to make everyone feel welcome and happy. Especially the Director of Development. He has a fantastic sense of humor too! I highly recommend that you join this place! I’d give this a million stars if I could.

I can't express how incredible the ladies at the Shepherds Center were. They answered all questions I had, found the equipment I needed for taking care of mom and even helped me load it in my car. The volunteer (Janie?) kept mom talking while (Anita and Audrey?) loaded my car. They were all just so kind, friendly and helpful, I'm ashamed I'm not 100% certain of their names. Our community is so blessed to have the Shepherd's Center.
