Ha. First they accept me. Then tell me I have to leave in less than 18 hours.. Why? Because I don't meet the criteria.. Being snowed in and not able to commute, didn't change the fact that the place supposedly offers help to DV victims and Sex Trafficking support for survivors. Even though I couldn't get there at their precious allotted time, I guess they missed the part where I had to humble myself to tell them that personal information about being sold, the only support they gave me was more trauma from telling the most apathetic people ever. I would never recommend going there, unless you like getting false info, about how they will help you regulate life and try to cope with both, much less either. On top of it all, they are rude, and would work better as prison guards with their condescending, uneducated selves. I mean really, look at what you offer. Then realize I actually read everything and qualified under two criteria if anyone had actually cared and bothered to read their own handbook that they actually hand out. With that, I understand why so many DV and SA survivors go back to their abusers. Especially when turned away from a place that offered help. Good job! You really proved the lack of knowledge of your own guidelines, and if you listen you learn. If you listened you would have known you broke your own rules and my sex trafficked self trust her mother more than the people who run that place. Want more trauma, high anxiety levels, chest pains, extreme panic... Then I highly recommend. If you want help.. Then I suggest finding an actual place that is knowledgeable on what they "provide".

Very disturbing experience. A friend of mine called me from there in tears due to being kicked out over "miscommunication" from a safe house that brought her there for help. She had to pay for her own Uber (after being told they could get her to a drop point for pick up) which I didn't find out until I picked her up. They did not let my friend eat since she was "not a resident". It was a terrible.

Absolutely horrible place..they push you out the minute you get there! They don't take into account the trauma you are running from all they care about is getting you out and if they can't find you somewhere to go they put you on the street or cause you to return to the abuser WITH your child! BEWARE!!! I had no where to go when they put us out and left my medical equipment and library books behind and was told it was all "donated" how can you donate something that wasn't even mine to begin with They are as trashy as the ghetto they are located in.

Once you leave the shelter. You are forgotten about. Even though you need help long after you leave because of all the physical and mental abuse you’ve suffered. But you’re not used to them because they don’t get funded for you no more. So they just use you just like your abuser did then they discard you.

Discriminatory against men, and not worth reaching out too if you were abused by a woman. Youll only get more hate from most of the staff.
