It was a place to stay until I was threatened by a resident; unprovoked. I was scared to leave my room. Because I didn't go out to breakfast, the woman was confronted by other residents and turned it around as if I was harassing her. The staff REFUSED to hear my side of the story and I was outed, child in arms. I hope it's doing better now, but, there WERE horror stories while there.

Another woman was told to come and that she would be placed in transitional housing. Her car literally died on the way over. She escaped without shoes on. They gave her the boot because she had no kids.

Another woman watched her kids get taken away because someone spread a false rumor that she talked to her ex's family.

People were threatened for buying their own food with their own food stamps because the staff wanted us to only eat the food offered and their kids wouldn't eat it.

Another woman was forced out because her worker told her she could retrieve her belongings (and keep them in her room) from a storage unit and when she got everything there, they told her she had to get out asap!

The residents fought each other because they wanted that choice transitional housing option. It's like emotional fight club.

Again, I hope things got better since. But, I want women to know, sometimes it's not the best option.

Very helpful. They help with legal paper forms and assistance. Negative part is they fail to identify themselves with emotional pain a women goes through after abuse. VERY STRICT rules. You get kicked out if you don't help clean up OTHER PPLS MESS PERFECTLY. It seems they hand pick who continues to get the housing assistance. They expect you to move on, bottle up emotions and to do so much in only 3 months. I give it a five star because it's the only place offering help, and they really do help. But I hope someone from their offices sees my review and shows some sympathy and be more flexible to each individual. Not everyone moves on in less than a month from trauma especially after just having a baby... And it seemed like a battle for the people in there to fight over who stays and continues with the extended stay.

I once stayed at this place with my child the ladies that worked at this home would steal, have frist picks at donation,I was told that there was no bottle water to make my child milk I was told use sink water and boil to use for my child milk when I clearly saw bottle water in the storage shed.I was threaten on my way out leaving the shelter by a heavy set older lady she was running that particular shelter home up the hill from intake.i would be on the house phone and she'll be in the hallway listening to my conversation with my worker.i would not 🚫 recommend this place to anyone

They aren't very helpful with domestic violence unless you are mandated or court ordered. I called. They asked if I was court ordered or mandated, and said I wasn't allowed to be there because of past mental issues.
